Right where the cheeks end on the top of my butt theres a lump, it hurts when I press on it but it isnt visible. I had it last month and after about two weeks it went away but now it's come back. I doubt it's cancer but I wasnt sure what else it could be. I just turned 14 on December 31 and I'm 5'10 if any of that helps. Thanks in advance

Butt Cancer?
-
A cyst possibly
-
Could it be something with the bone? maybe falling coudl do something?
-
I checked symptoms for some of the cancers that involve the butt and I dont have any. So I doubt it's cancer. Thanks again for the help

I think I've heard of this before. There is some type of cyst that can form at the Coccyx (tailbone). Someone mentioned this long ago. You should see your doctor about it.

How should I go about telling my parents? I feel kinda embarassed telling them
-
When I woke up I felt around again and when I lightly-but-with-some-force push down on the area I dont feel anything. But when I push down kinda hard on it I feel something hard. My guess is that it's the tail bone since it takes some pushing down to feel.

Just tell then you are having some pain in the tailbone area, you sometimes get a lump there and you want to see a doctor about it. No big deal.
-
I'll do that if it comes back. But luckily it seems to have gone away.

Im so glad i found these forums, about 4 days ago, i noticed the same thing gamer, it hurts to sit down, its a weird lump feeling in the same exact spot...Does anyone know anymore information about this? This is the first time its happened to me...I dont really wanna tell my parents and go to a doctor about it....Im 17 by the way, so young like Gamer is....
-
Sorry, but sometimes the only advice we can give is to go to the pros...Suck it up and see a doc. Doctors see much worse things! Nothing to be embarassed about.
-
Just go to doctor. Just tell him whats up. He/She shall know.

Sounds like a pilonidal sinus. Annoying, but generally not harmful. Google for it, you'll find lots of links to home remedies and such. If it appears infected (swelling, redness, pain, fluid discharge), you should see a doctor.Hope that helps....

That's the term I was looking for. Thanks
