Hi, I've recently joined the gym and I'm starting soon. I'm not experienced in the field of lifting and the sort of diet to help with my workouts. So, I ask this, mainly to Powerlifter: I'm going to be working out about 2x a week for an hour and a half, what exercises would you recommed for each of those times I visit? Also, to go with that, what should I eat exactly? My plan was to try something like this:Breakfast: Scrambled egg on toast(brown bread)/porridgeSnack 1 (morning around 10am): Protein barMeal 1(lunchtime around 12pm): Cheese burger, cheese sandwich, yogurt, bananaSnack 2 (3pm): Protein shakeMeal 2(dinner 5:30pm): Steak & cheese pasta or egg and chips/bacon.Snack 3: Yogurt/protein shakeI'm not sure that I should eat like this everday or just the days I'm doing workouts. And by the way, reason for me not having necessarily big portions in each meals is because I'm not a huge eater. But I do have a fast matabalism though, and when I do eat lots I can shit for england which doesn't really help. So would the best way to start be: Eating with those amounts to begin with, and as I start getting used to them, and gradually up my intake of food? which I hope should allow me to gain some weight with muscle...Oh and some info you might need to know: I weigh in at 140lbs, not sure if that will help much.
