Ok, so i have had kind of lumpy discharge for a while. I have just started reading on yeast infections, and it sounds a bit like it. I don't have redness, or ichyness. Could it just be a normal discharge? Also, my boyfriend and I have been getting pretty serious. If we have sex, and it does turn out to be a yeast infection, could this effect him in any way? What types of medications can i look for, and where should i go to get them?

Yeast Infection?

Mine don't really itch... more of an irritation. Is there any way you could have an std?If not, It probably is a Y.I. Go to any grocery store or drug store and get something like Monistat 7. There are a few kinds of over the counter yeast infection creams. Use something for a few days though, don't use those one day things. It's not enough usually. The creams are around ten dollars.

when you have a yeast infection what color is the discharge? Is it brown or white?

i'm still a virgin, so it couldn't be an std. I will check out the creams and see if anything changes. But, what about him? Could he contract anything? And how do i keep it from coming back? Am i maybe showering myself wrong? What causes a yeast infection?

If you have a yeast infection and don't treat it, your bf will most likely get it during intercourse and you'll both pass it back and forth. If you have a yeast infection, treat it. You might consider seeing a doctor.

It very well could be normal discharge. Sometimes it can be rather clumpy. The consistency changes throughout the month.

I'm just wondering, if you do have a yeast infection, what happens if you don't treat it? will it eventually go away on it's own or will it develop into something worse?and one more thing, does putting yogurt on a tampon and leaving it in overnight really work?
