Dangerous Soda

It depends if it's regular or diet. Regular soda has a lot of sugar that will rot your teeth and the calories will make you gain weight. If it's diet, there are studies that artificial sweeteners cause cancer in lab rats. Either way, you're screwed. I will still drink it though, although I need to lower my intake because I'm getting fat.

No, because soda is stored in metal cans. That doesn't make sense.I did hear that if you take a steak and put it in a bowl of Coca-Cola that the high acid content will dissolve the meat in 24 hours. I've never tried it, but I think it just might be true.

no soda is stored in non-reactive metal cans. You put a reactive metal in Coke you will see some affects.

mythbusters tried to clean a car engine with coke. It didn't work.... but it sure did shine an old penny well when it was soaked in coke for a while.

I prefer Orange Juice and Tea all day long. I have a taste for soda when I'm eating certain things though.

yeah you need to take soda out of your diet because well your body might be different but my fiances sister kept eating her normal food and just stopped drinking soda and she lost like 10lbs. in like 1 month so i would def. say yeah get soda aways from you if your trying to loose weight.

I know a lot of people who drink soda early in the morning. They must be addicted to caffiene or something.
Yuck!

Any carbonated pop has carbonic acid in it. That's what reacts and turns into carbon dioxide bubbles that make the pop fizzly, plus it's what gives pop it's bite. You already have acid in your stomach that's stronger than the acid in coke, but that doesn't mean it's good for you. It's so full of sugar as well as a ton of other chemicals ranging from flavour enhancers to preservatives.Of course, I still drink pop sometimes, but you shouldn't drink it constantly every day. Pop does a very poor job of hydrating you, you'd be better off to stick with water. Is it just me or is it generally an American thing to say soda and a Canadian thing to say pop?

I don't think so. I actually prefer "pop", but wasn't using it in my replies above since the thread title says "dangerous soda".

I think a lot of people from Middle of U.S. a and Eastward call it Pop...I am from West and everyone here in Indiana calls it pop.
