Excuse my use of language but I've just been reading over at this website here:http://www.nzdf.org.nz/update/messages/343.htmIt goes on to say how doctors in the UK have prescribed anti-depressants like prozac to teens who are anxious about exams. What I'm gettin at here, is that there are many other people who are far worse and are in need of anti-depressants yet aren't prescribed any. Ok, GCSE's are important and I understand the pressures involved, but why are doctors so willing to prescribe for those reasons over people who have suffered for years? For example I have been suffering from anxiety and depression for pretty much my whole life, yet, when I get 'evaluated' in regards to whether I need anti-depressants, I'm told I don't need them. I am fucking annoyed.

Fucking ridiculous?

I am going to dwell on this for weeks now.

one of my friends daughter got proscribed ProZac and shes 15......to be honest it didn't seem to be any different that 'normal' teen angst - we spent a lot of time talking about things, tho of course she could have been depressed, im not saying she wasn't, it just seems some areas are more than willing to put kids on stuff like that.........I guess it depends which medical practise you are with, and also in Britain which area you live in - unfortunatly - with regards to your 'evaluation' have you asked to see another doctor or specialist to be evaluated....

Yes I've seen 2 different doctors. I think I just don't seem to show it like other people. I'm so used to hiding my feelings in my facial expressions people most of the time never know something is wrong. I'm betting they were all looking for the signs in my face. And I'm certainly not going to 'act' or fake emotions just so I can get their attention.
