I have bumps that look like PPP except they go a little farther, like onto the head and lower down onto my shaft. They're even on the bottom side of my shaft. There are also bumps that resemble them on the left side of my belly. I am a little precocious when it comes to bumps and stuff of that nature, so could someone please help.

PPP Looks Like It's Going Further
-
In reply to: ...could someone please help? only a doctor with a Rx pad.
-
So, then that's not normal?
-
I would have to say no....it's not. but i'm not a Dr..
-
LOL! I was wondering the same thing!
-
In the Male Anatomy thing it says that it's Pearly Penile Papules.
-
Are they sebaceous glands? But having visible sebaceous glands on the belly is unusual.
-
Did you look at the pictures in the Male Anatomy thread? There are pictures there. You may have PPP but that's only on the Glans. The bumps and the shaft are probably Sebaceous glands and hair follicles which we all have.
-
Well, now that I took a second look, the bumps on my shaft look almost like a combination of Fordyce Spots and Sebaceous glands.
-
I also have one more question. Can sebaceous glands or Fordyce spots appear on the glans, because they don't look exactly like the picture of the papules.
-
Not really, because the glans skin is of a different type. Can you explain in detail, what these bumps on teh glans are like?
-
Well, the bumps on my glans look about the same as the ones on my shaft, except for the fact that there are also sebaceous glands on my shaft. These dots are very small and they're white. They are similar to papules, yet they cover almost all of my shaft and much of the scrotom as well. They're mostly the same size except there are a few larger ones on my glans that look like sebaceous glands, yet smaller and they do not strech. It is also much easier to see them when there is light relecting off of them. None of the bumps are red and they all look like they are "in" the skin.

I know this might sound a bit odd, but I promised GOD I would get the word out if I was ever to find a cure for my PPP's. By accident I rubbed this mexican product called pomada sulfatiazol ukra and the bumps disapeared in about two weeks. The active ingredients are sulfatiazol cristalizado, and lanolina. If you guys can translate those ingredients then I bet you guys may be able to obtain a cream which comes close to getting rid of your ppp's. If it does work then I would appreciate it if you guys let others know. So far, doctors give nothing to cure such embarrasing problem. I'm not saying that if it worked for me it will work for you, but it's worth a try.

Those active ingredients are just crystallised sulfathiazole and lanolin. Sulfathiazole is an antibiotic (not so much used now because a lot of bacteria have developed resistance to it) and the "crystallised" means effectively nothing. Lanolin is wool-fat, a common ingredient in ointments because it's smooth and unctuous and yet you can mix water into it. It's not usually considered an active ingredient, though.
