ok this may sound a little bit dumb but i was wondering if you can push a tampon in too far or not far enough i mean i know you can but like (this may be TMI) but like when i go to use the bathroom everytime there is blood on the string and it gets in my undies so i was wondering am i sticking it in to far or not far enough to where the blood is leaking out a little? any advice would be great or if this happens to anyone else all the time let me know im not just being weird or something
You can push a tampon too far in...but that's unlikely to happen, especially if you're using an applicator. It's very possible to not push it up far enough. If you're finding blood on the string shortly after you put it in, or you can feel it in you then chances are it's not in far enough.

i like put it in far enough im sure cause it isnt uncompforable or anything like that its always compfy but like i dont know why would there be blood on it i dont bleed really heavy or anything like that and im sure that im putting it in just right (ive been doing it for like 5 or more years) but theres like blood on the string its just gross and suppose to stop the blood ya know not let it get in my undies i guess i just need someone to listen to me bitch about it and get suggestions at the same time so thank you anymore would nice
Tampons can be pushed in so far that you may not be able to reach them without help. However, help can always be had of the medical sort to remove one. It cannot go anywhere except to the top of the vaginal canal and a health practitioner can always see in far enough with a speculum to be able to reach it with an instrument of some sort like a ring forcep or a hemostat.
As for the string getting bloody, it is simply an issue of the blood wicking onto it via the tampon. Even if the tampon is not full you may see blood as sometimes the blood travels around them down the sides.
Personally, I always stick the string up inside with my finger since I hate it sticking out. I am sure most of you don't have the same comfort level with that sort of thing though...
