A while back, probably a few months ago, I attempted to quit smoking. I did well for a while, then relapsed. Well, today I've decided once again that I need to throw away this old and harmful habit. Can anyone give me some good advice to help me pass the cravings and stay smoke free?

I have posted once that smoking is stupid, but I smoke and have for 18 years. My lungs hurt, I can't run half a block, I weeze at night, hack in the morning. Yuk.
Here are some ideas: Take Zyban, a pill to help you crave less. It is also called Wellbutrin.
Try the nicotine gum if your stomach can handle it.
Try the patch.
You can combine Zyban with the patch or gum. Zyban can take a few weeks to start working.
Only a select few can go cold turkey.
A few weeks ago, I went 2 days without a smoke when I didn't have the money to buy more. I was just starting to lose the craving and feeling better, even my erection was harder than usual, then like a dummy I am, I bought a pack and started it all over again. SIGHHH
Making model cars help keep your hands occupied as well as drawing and playing guitar. If coffee makes you crave a smoke, cut back on it. If you crave after eating a meal, eat less but more often.
Make artifical rules for yourself. Tell yourself that you can't smoke in your car, not in the bedroom...NEVER! too dangerous if you fall asleep with a smoke, it happened to me once, luckily I woke up before my blanket was fully engulfed in flames.
Try not to smoke inside your home, you can't smoke in any place nowadays.
Don't go outside with other smokers to puff.
Have a non smoing trusting friend hold your cigeretts for you. White walls turn yellow in a very short time, imagine the lungs.
I hope this is helpfull to you good luck -
Thank you for the information, perhaps I can have one of my older friends buy one of these items (I'm only 17 and my parents have yet to realize that I ever smoked). I just wanted to update everyone and let them know that I've been smoke free for three entire weeks, and I've done it completely 100% without the aid of anything except my desire to quit. I feel as though if I can conquer this addiction with my mind, I can do anything.

You're just an amazing specimen, but a lot of people have trouble quitting.
