well im a 5"7; 150 LB; 16 year old male. My build is pretty athletic but i want to get A loT bigger since im a junior in high school and need to get stronger. I play baseball for my school so i would like to stay relatively quick but still gain a lot of muscle mass at the same time. i actually gained 15 pounds in the last 5 months but i dont think thats enough weight. I need advice in wat i can do get much bigger in muscle mass but stay fast. i dont need to be like a world class sprinter but i just dont want to be slow like these baseball players that take steroids and stuff. i have free weights in my house and they're 20lbs each. i lift almost every day and do various excercises so any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. PS: i would also like to kno if gettin up to 200 LBS at my height and age would be unhealthy.

200lbs is quite bulby and heavy for your height. i'd say aim to gain at least 10kgs more and keep up the cardio vasculur excercises that you do already

15lbs in 5 months? I used a protein shake and had a very extreme workout/running routine and packed on about 50-60 lbs of muscle in 3 months.

well, i dissagree with you dude, protien shakes do nothing but cause you to start laging, and if you eat enough, they can make you fat. first, lets look at the different muscles. fast twitch reflexes keep you fast and are what you need for baseball. slow twitch is what you want to only look big, but not exactly be strong and all. the problem is, that by getting one, you sacrafice some of the other. second thing, protien shakes are not the cure all suplement. they SUCK. the average american gets almost 7 times as much protien than he needs, PER DAY. all this protien goes to waste, because the body cant absorb it. if you really want to have an effective protien intake, lower the amount you eat and your body will be forced to actually use the protien, not just pass it through. i know i sound like a radical, and i probably am concidered one, but i have been trained for the past 4 years by a CSCS who was the Mets trainer for 15 years. dont try and be big, it doesnt do anything for you but looks. work on your fast twitch movement, and stamina. thats what pays off in the end.oh, btw, for a guy your size, you should be getting about 35 - 60g of protien a day, take a normal day and watch how many you actually eat. you may be supprised.

wen i do crunches it only effects my bottom abs does anyone know exercises for my upper abs

leg lifts....lay flat and legs straight out and lift six inches off of the ground and hold for about 1 min or more...just keep doing that.

as a modification on the leg lifts previously described, do the same thing, just lift your legs all the way in the air, and set them down again. do this for a while, and you will be in serious pain.

try the 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1....approach...10 would be all the way up. And go 15 seconds between each number...1 would be 6" off ground and 0 would be relaxing.

That's bullshit! It's hard to gain muslce mass when doing a lot of cardio.

yea 60 pounds in MUSCLE is pretty hard to do in 3 months. but i do need more advice in wat else i can do.
