Hey, im sorry to bother everyone but im pretty messed up over this. Ok the situation is that i had sex with someone unprotected on new years. I was drunk and yah bad decision. Well after this happened i freaked out when i was sober and startin asking her about her sexual experiences. Well to make this story a lil shoter, i had her get tested and she came back positive for chlamydia. Well soon after we had sex(unprotected)like the next day I think. I had these lil bumps on my penis. Not as noticeable when im not erect but still you can see them. I might of had them before the experience i dont remember due to a long masturbation section with "shave less often" lotion. Which was another dumb thing i did. But anyway, i started freakin out after I heard she had chylamydia. So i got tested and came back negative for everything, inlcuding chylamydia at 2 weeks. I know the window period can be longer than that so I took the antibiotics anyway. But about my bumps, ive went to a dermatoligist about them, she didnt take a good look and thought they were just inflamed hair follicles mostly because I can see lil tiny hairs coming out of most of them, so she gave me a steroid to get rid of them. That didnt work. I started looking online and thought they were Sebaceous Prominence. But that didnt make sense to me because why would i get them right after I had sex with someone. The pics shown for sebaceous prominence doenst realy look like mine, mine arent that big(bumps) and they just look like lil white bumps under the skin. Very noticeable when the skin is pulled back. So after that oppointment I went to a healthy clinic to see if they had a different opinion. Well of course they did! They think I have molluscum. But the pics of molluscum ive seen online look nothing like what I have. Mine are way small and dont really hace a middle indentation. You cant really pop the things i have. Some of em you can but others with no luck. IVE TRIED! Not a good idea. So the question is what do you think this is that I have. Should I go wtih the dermatoligist and say they are inflamed hair follices. Are they sebaceous prominence? Or go with the health doctor and say they are Molluscum. Does hair usually come out of molluscum? well thank you for your time. I know this is a very long post! I am sorry. Have a good one.Chris

Small Bumps on the penis

I would say they are probabably sebaceous glands. No, hair does not come out of molluscum... Plus a doctor would recognize it as soon as he/she saw it.
-
Do they look like this? Those are sebaceous glands - normal, and if they are what we are talking about, you've had them since puberty (actually before, but they get bigger at puberty) but not noticed them before you got worried.
-
i got them 2 is it normal to have hair come out of them   :sunglasses:
-
Yes, that's normal. Sebaceous glands on the body usually secrete into a hair follicle, though you can have them without hair too.
-
oh ok thanx almost all of them have hair in them
-
Is there anyway to get rid of them?
-
Not really.
-
so i'm going to have them forever!?!?
-
They do get smaller and gradually recede again from middle age onwards, presumably as testosterone levels slowly decline.

hey guys, i also have sebaceous prominence. I'm 19 yrs old and i've had them since i was about 12 i believe. anyway i have some serious depression and lack of confidence due to these little things. so the other day i bought some aloe stridex pads for my face and i figured hey why not see if they can help down there too. i tend to sweat pretty easily so for the past 2-3 days whenever i notice that i'm a little sweaty say 3 times a day i wipe my junk with a pad. well to my surprise they have gotten quite a bit smaller! i'm not saying this is a cure or anything but i do feel that it's working and i've noticed i'm actually a bit more confident in everyday life just due to the fact that when i get out of the shower in the morning i don't notice them as much. whether or not this will help you guys i don't know so do what you want with this info. also it's great to hear from other guys who are going through this too. i'm sorry any of us have this problem but who knows maybe someday there will be a cure! keep your heads up!
