Std

Sure you can. Herpes for example.

Yes, you can catch quite a few STDs. Even AIDS if thier bleeding from a wound in their mouth.

The only kind of herpes you can catch from kissing is Herpes Simplex I, the oral kind. However, if you have that and then have oral sex, women with men or men with women, that can be transferred from the oral to the genital area, immediately becoming Herpes Simplex II, or genital herpes. Somehow, kissing genital areas is not kissing anymore...

In reply to:

You mean the genetic material of the virus suddenly mutates when the virus knows it's on a sex organ? I don't think so.
Herpes simplex 1 (HSV 1) is predominantly found in the mouth, and Herpes Simplex 2 (HSV 2) is predominantly found in the genitals, but cross infection can occur through oral sex (i.e., you can get HSV 1 in your genitals and vice versa).
Just more fun stuff to worry about.

Steve's right. You can pass type I from your mouth to someone's genitals, but it's still type I even on the genitals. Type I and Type II are completely different strains.
