Long story short, I spent a brief period of time on the employee end of things. It was strickly a business relationship. She was young and extreamly ambitious. She needed someone who presented well at social functions as well as "private functions". She didn't want the rest of the baggage getting in the way of her work-aholic career building. It seemed to make sense at the time. I don't know where she is now but I'm sure she's successful.

Prostitutes
-
Well in my opinion a person who is seeing a prostitute has something really "disturbing" that's going on in their life that needs to be solved. The same with the prostitute, something in their life is not quite right.
-
A> X is bad.B> That's judgemental (i.e., Can you support your position with objective data?)A> Well, X is bad.OK, whatever. This a religious position, even if no particular named religion is involved.
-
A religious position? That is my opinion, everyone can state their opinions around here, there's nothing wrong with that. You and I have two different opinions and that's fine. Neither may be right and neither may be wrong...they're opinions.
-
If you posit an opinion, but can't explain _why_ you have that opinion, then you're just venting. If there were people posting here who had PhDs and were conveying information on their specialty, I wouldn't be so critical. God would also get a pass, if she posted here.
But if you say, "that's bad", and I say, "that's good", and someone else says, "I agree" (and nothing more), who cares? What value does it add? -
This is an internet forum, one that ranges from discussing llamas to mars bars. I simply stated my opinion. I don't need to write up a mini essay on why I think that way.
-
This is supposedly a thread on prostitution, which is a serious subject. It's up to you. You can help make the forum as informative or as chatty as you like. If you think people gain by knowing your moral positions ("This is bad." "That is good."), then go for it.
-
There are typically 2 types of prostitute in my oppinion legal and illeagal ones. The illeagal ones will probably be high priced trash with more STDs going around than a Micheal Jackson sleepover! The kind i would consider the stereotypical prostitute. Then theres the legal ones like in Amsterdam. Since its legal its a lot more above board, the women have to be tested for STDs every few months and from what i've been told are very professional. Some women like sex, why not make a living out of it? Its not all pimps here, its like applying for a job at a supermarket over there, good money doing something you enjoy!
-
If you want to push this to a chatty/informative topic, then I could go ahead and pull up a number of serious threads where you gave responses that were "chatty" or not serious, so your previous statement was a little hypocritical in "my opinion". Anyways I'm off to attend to real life matters at the moment. Have a wonderful evening.

There are high-priced call girls in the U.S. I'd wager the ones that get several hundred dollars an hour for their services tend to take good care of themselves. Of course, there is still risk. But since prostitution, like drugs, is illegal in most places, it goes unregulated. That means no testing for STDs, etc. Yet it goes on in a big way. This is where the "moral" position breaks down. It's bad, but people do it, people catch STDs, people suffer. Some would say they're getting what they deserve.

Two wrongs don't make a right. My screwing up doesn't let everyone else off the hook. But sometimes it gets pretty narcissistic around here. And shouldn't a moderator try to set the best possible example?
-
Steve, can't you let anything go. You should really learn to choose which hill you want to die on.
You don't have to be the expert on everything.
-
In reply to:Steve, can't you let anything goI guess not...I'd go argue with the President if they'd let me. But I stand by what I said.Getting back on topic (sort of), we don't know if the first poster has some physical condition (ALS, paralysis, whatever) that makes having an ordinary relationship impractical. So, should he wait forever for non-masturbatory sexual release (assuming he can even do that), or should he have the option of hiring a prostitute, without being called pathetic?
-
save your allowance, pack several condoms, put on some clean underware, head down town for research. I will think no more or less of you. Until then, it's hypothetical
-
In reply to: I would have thought that prostitutes sex/bjs are no different than from any other person, except for the fact your wasting your money, when there's people who would do it for free yeah, like your mom.
-
now now last play nice
-
In reply to:when there's people who would do it for freeOK, I need names and phone numbers. That's like asking, why go to a restaurant and pay for someone to cook you dinner, when there are people who would do it for free?
