I think I may have it. Recently, when it is around bedtime, i get a throbbing/pulsing in my foot. This mostly happens when I lie down. Moving my foot relieves it temporarily. Just tonight, I have experienced these symptoms in my leg. I can even see the throb/pulse/whatever it is. It's really annoying. I think I will call my doctor soon to get to the bottom of it. What do you all think? Is anyone familiar with this? Can anyone help?

Are you over-stressing the related muscles during the day? Do your shoes fit well?

I've had RLS for a long time. One day, I finally found an article.. this was many years ago, that recognized RLS as I had it. Oh, it drove me nuts and prevented me from sleeping. It was crazy for me. Finally I got scripts for Klonopin and later Elavil, and now I have had to add Neurontin. But, this protocol has helped me immensly. I've been on this regimin for years. If I don't take my meds, like before an MRI or something, my legs are all over the place. It is crazy.Check out this site for answers to some of your questions. http://www.sleepnet.com/rls2000.html I hope this was not wrong for me to post. I shall check again what I read before about the rules of posting. But, I do wish you well on this journey. You don't have to have this aggravating sx keeping you awake all night.Good Luck

One thing to be careful with this disorder is the danger that comes with it....i dont want to scare you but in some cases, especially children, they break limbs. You see when you are in REM (rapid-eye movement)sleep your body becomes completely paralized. This is the stage when you dream. But in some serious cases of rls people will move theyre legs or limbs around causing them to break off because they are paralized and cant help it. Dont get freaked out though because its not somethin that happens to everyone, but i would go to a dr and have it checked out to be safe.
