How come at the gym you can push yourself harder easier? Its just coz when i used to go running in the mornings, i could run about 400 meters and then need a break whereas when i goto the gym, i can do 2000meters on the rowing machine at level 10 in just over 10 minutes, then to do another 10 mins, then 15 mins on the xtrainer with a heart rate of between 160 and 170 then go on and do 20 mins on the running machine in 'cardio mode' (which keeps your heart rate at optimum...sure u knew anyhow ) and be a bit sweaty but not puffing and panting and feeling like your gonna die, but like i said after 400 meters running round the block, i felt like i was gonna die.
I guess understaning this would help me push myself to my optimum level whilst being able to run my optimum distance.
Anyone know?
