yes, I would have to agree...to an extent. I do think that when flacid the head is exposed more with cut than uncut, as y'all know. I would say it would be like us, or those of us who wear shoes outside, trying to walk on rocks, to the tribes of the amazon, or africa, those who do have tougher soles, or less sensitive soles, because their feet are always exposed to the elements of nature. dunno if that makes any sense what soever..or if i even made a point..

Pros and Cons

They can't grow back because there is no foreskin for them to grow in. Perhaps what you are trying to say is that the pleasure in the glans remains the same? There are some studies that have been performed that seem to support this claim, but there are also studies to the contrary. There is no debate that some sensitivity is lost due to the removal of foreskin. There is only debate about whether GLANS sensitivity is reduced. Also, there are lots of pleasure sensitive nerve endings in the foreskin, especially the frenulum, which is extremely sensitive. I would know, because I have an intact frenulum that is VERY sensitive to sexual stimulation. I can reach orgasm without touching my glans, and by just stimulating the foreskin and frenulum. When nerves are damaged or removed, they rarely grow back to exactly how they were before. For example, people with radial nerve damage usually never have their nerves regenerate to what they once were. If they do regenerate, it is usually through very strenuous therapy. The nervous system is very complex and does not regenerate easily. This is why most paralyzed people never walk again. Even if they do walk again, they can' play sports, run etc. as well as they used to most of the times.

Yes you did make a valid point. A circumcised penis' glans is constantly exposed to clothing etc and is always making contact and rubbing against clothes etc. In an uncut man, the glans is usually protected. It only makes contact with something other than the foreskin during cleaning and sexual activity. Maybe a little during pissing. It is a fact that glans skin must thicken after a circumcision has been performed. This is the only way circumcised men can feel comfortable walking around with their glans exposed to their underwear etc. all day.Sometimes when I take a leak, I leave my foreskin retracted by accident. When I roll my pants back up, I can feel it immediately. It doesn't feel too good.I think BMOC's analogy was pretty good.
-
The analogy was ok, but soft clothing is far different than walking on stone, and feet aren't really that senseitive anyway.
-
It is a good analogy, because the glans of an uncircumcised penis is very sensitive, even to clothing. It would feel rather uncomfortable for most uncut guys to walk around with foreskin retracted in their pants all day. The glans skin thickens and becomes less sensitive for circumcised men and this is why they don't feel uncomfortable even when their exposed glans makes contact with clothing etc.
-
So is my cut glans to clothing, it doesn't feel good to rub on clothing either.
-
If it doesn't feel good to you, it feels way worse for us.

I found this with google today: In reply to: "People thought that boys would not keep themselves clean if they werent circumcised,"a mother answered when her intact son asked why circumcisions were done. Her little 5 year old said, "Well, thats dumb mom!!What are they gonna do? Cut their butts off too?!"Out of the mouths of babes. This is quoted from a bulletin board post at ParentsPlace.com

In reply to:There is only debate about whether GLANS sensitivity is reduced. Glans sensitivity is definitely reduced from circumcision. The glans goes through a thickening, cracking (crevasses) and desensitivity process when exposed to the air and fabric all the time, called keratinization (sp?) This has been proven by both uncut guys who got circumcised as adults and reported less sensitivity in their glans, and by guys who were circumcised and successfully restored their foreskin and reported large increases in sensitivity of their glans after being restored. Although I was circumcised as a baby, and never got to experience what its like to have a foreskin, I do feel I can make at least one direct comparison, and that's with the frenulum. I was fortunate enough to have a small piece of my frenulum left on the underside of my penis which was not removed during my circumcision (some cut guys have no frenulum left). That one little piece of frenulum is sooooo sensitive and pleasurable to me, its by far the most sensitive part of my penis. I can even cum from just lightly rubbing my frenululm with one finger without even touching any other part of my penis. I could never do that by just touching my glans. I can't imagine how great it would be to have a fully intact frenulum, based on what that little remnant I have does for me. So I can't relate to what a full foreskin feels like, but I can definitely say the pleasure I get from the frenulum makes it an easy decision as to which way is more pleasurable and sensitive: uncut. To remove something as intensely pleasurable and sensitive as the frenulum seems completely idiotic and barbaric to me. And if the rest of the foreskin is even half as sensitive as the frenulum, its even more idiotic.

18 Functions of the Foreskinnew for some, old boring foreskin talk for others - dagThis list is intended to be exhaustive, in descending order of importance in each section.Sexual01. Erotic pleasure, especially via the ridged band and Meissner's corpuscles02. Stores pheromones and releases them on arousal03. Stores and releases natural lubricants ("smega" and pre-ejaculatory fluid)04. Makes the glans a visual signal of sexual arousal05. Supplies skin to cover the shaft in erection and prevent tightness06. Acts as a rolling bearing in intercourse and masturbation07. Prevents dyspareunia (painful intercourse)08. Stimulates partner's genitalia, giving erotic pleasure09. Provides a seal against the vaginal wall to contain semenProtective10. Prevents the glans becoming keratinised, and keeps it soft and moist11. Protects the thin-skinned glans against injury12. Protects the nerves of the glans, retaining their erotic function13. In infancy, protects the urethra against contamination, meatal stenosis, (and UTIs?)14. Provides lysosomes for bacteriostatic action around the glans15. Pigmented, it protects the unpigmented glans against sunburn16. Vascular (rich in blood vessels that bring heat to the tissues), it protects the less vascular glans against frostbite, as Sir Ranulph Fiennes found on his epic transpolar walk.Other17. Provides skin for grafts to burnt eyelids, reconstructive surgery, etc.18. Storage of contact lenses, smuggled jewels, etcinfo found on - http://www.circumstitions.com/Cons is that you have to clean your penis (if that really is a con, come on, really, you clean your whole body in the shower/bath), may look "different" or "ugly" to some, and some others that I can't think of right now that other people have probably posted.
