I have a question for anyone who can help me. I in March of 2004 started taking the form of birth control called Depo Provera. The day that I started my shot my period ended (I was told that you must administer the shot within the first five days of your menstrual cycle). I not knowing of the side effects went back for my second shot on June 19th of 2004. I began to read up on the Depo Provera shot and realized that a lot of the side effects that I thougth were coming from stress really were results of the B.C. so I decided to not go back for my third shot. I was suppose to have my shot between the 10th and 19th of September but as I stated I never went back. I began my cycle on September 25th of 2004. I know that there are a lot of reviews and statistics on the web and in doctors offices stating that it can take up to 6-12 months before getting pregnant. I have been trying though faithfully. I have signs of ovulation like the cervix test (softness and openning width of the cervix) and cervical mucus being stretchy and egg-whitish colored. But I am not really sure if I can go about being pregnant. If anyone can help please I am really trying...

Trying But So Unsure...

Your best best is to see your doctor. Your hormones could be a little off. Most doctors say that if you've been trying for at least 12 months and nothing is happening then that's the time to see a specialist. Sometimes not focusing so much on getting pregnant can help, just let nature take it's course.
