In reply to: I am sixteen years old, and have been waking up each morning with an erection that lasts about a half hour each day for a few years now. But for the last three months, I've been getting LOTS of them all the time in addition to waking up with one. Each time it lasts a good ten to twenty minutes, and I often get them each hour. It feels like my penis is erect more than it is soft. This has been extremely UNCOMFORTABLE no matter what I am wearing. And I've never liked getting these erections, even when I was a child. And it is also extremely embarrassing too, because people can see it even though you try to hide it. And lately I get them whenever I have to take my pants off such as for changing or for going to the washroom, and when taking showers. In school, we are required to take a shower after phys-ed class, and I feel embarrassed because my penis doesn't look like everybody else's as it is always erect. And I have heard some of the students teasing me about it. Does anybody know what I can do about these involuntary erections, tell me what causes them and when they will go away. My dad says if I'd start masturbating more often when I wake up or before I go to sleep, it might go away, but I'm not sure. I believe the cause is having a penis. And puberty of course. Penises do that. It's normal for teenager guys especially and sometimes people call it those raging hormones of teenagers. I had boners all the time in classes in Junior High, and my penis would get so hard and long that it snaked down my pants leg in an obvious and very persistant 7" long log or bulge, but they decreased in the last few years of high school. I saw a few other guys get them too, and generally nobody says anything or seems much to care. The cure is generally to get older, or get married. I wouldn't worry about masturbating at night, as I am not so sure it helps. Maybe just stimulates it all the more?I don't think I ever teased anybody for having an erection, as it is best to just ignore them, and they seem rather normal anyway, as long as the person isn't trying to show off or anything.Penises get hard, because they have new feelings and to try out their new function, and to remind us to marry and of our duty to reproduce and enlarge the human race, so that all the more people may enjoy living.

Question About Erections
-
[What is a good, witty reply AlwaysErect can use when the other boys make fun of his (very normal) erection. The only thing I could think of is "This isn't a boner. You would know if I had a boner.")] Damien, nice response! Here's my line, "Why are you looking at my dick?" Most guys glance but are embarrassed to admit it.The key, AlwaysErect, to whatever you say is self-confidence, a conviction that you're OK. My penis has a mind of his own. My demands fly in the face of this stubborn mule. He responds to loving attention. He gratefully receives a listening ear.
