While using an electric shaver to trim/shave a little down there, i noticed i scrached myself or something cause there are a few little marks with a little blood.....near the top of the ballsack.....should this go away quickly? What can i do to stop the irritating feeling? I'm starting to feel like an idiot lol
-
Uh-oh. scratched myself up down there :-/
-
it will scab over like any other part of your body (I've done it a few times), but things should heal nicely if you keep it clean and DON'T pick the scabs
-
Yes, be gentle with it, and try to ignore it as best as you can, as Diver said, its just like any other part of the body...
-
Okay....(Cringes at the thought of scabs, down there...)Does it take longer or shorter to heal down there than other parts of the body? i'm glad that theres a place to ask this sort of stuff....
-
dude, thats what we are here for... and if in time and you stay around... you'll never leave lolbut back to the question, I've found that scabs on the scrotum "feel" different to "normal" scabs and are more mushy? anyways, it doesn't heal any quicker or longer than normal scabs (unless it's MASSIVE then it would probably take a little longer).
-
DON'T pick the scabs.........unless u want to see it bleed again
-
if it is massive you might have other problems. But do not freak about the scabs. Before long you will forget about them.

Just a suggestion... next time don't use an electric razor. There is a perception that an electric razor is somehow "safer" when just the opposite is true. An electric razor actually removes a minute amount of skin each time and the skin on your scrotum is quite thin and (as you found out) quite sensitive.A better method is to use a Mach 3 with adequate lube. For some reason the gel for women seems to work better than other shaving creams. When you get done, you won't believe how good it feels and I'm sure your gf will enjoy it as well.
-
Next time use a non electric razor and since the razor which works best for this is mentioned I'll tell you a good shaving cream.
Edge Pro Shaving Cream. It is a gel and is thicker! The thicker it is the less chance of it actually getting cut, if you use this is can feel a little odd on your skin at first, like a warmth or tingling, but you'll a less chance of getting cut then you think. Other creams don't have the density and wash away too easily, thicker is better protection for you.

Do NOT use an electric trimmer anywhere near your scrotum. The scrotal skin is too soft and loose, and it easily gets caught between the blades of an electric trimmer and causes instant cutting and bleeding. Use only a quality manual razor with shaving cream on your scrotum, using light strokes.
Don't feel bad - I found this out the hard way too the first time

lol, thanks guys...Its actually not so bad now....just as long as i keep my mind off it i seem to be fine.....It will be a while before I want to try this again...haha

i remember when i was masturbating once w/ no lube i got a friction burn on the head of my penis that hurt
