I still have an issue with the one time rating thing. I would like to re-rate people occasionally as they improve or back-slide.But there again, I don't really lose any sleep over that kind of shite

Wooty Woot!

Probably the same bonehead but just switched to the other end.

What makes someone deserve to be rated? The system appears to be a political popularity contest. You piss someone off, they give you one star. You defend a ridiculous but popular idea, and someone may just give you five stars, especially if they perceive that you've been attacked.
So, what does make someone deserve to be rated? And on what basis do you rate them?

I'm gonna create 20 accounts, and give you one star from each. (Note to mods: not really.)I had four stars for a while. I thought that was funny too. Then I had one star. Then someone felt sorry for me, and I had (and still have two stars). If we went into business together, we could have five stars.Maybe you only have 2.000000001 stars, but the permissive Web site designer is rounding up.

I'd much rather have the rare "thank's for your help Damien" than another star. Especially since most people who post a lot seem to hover at three stars.

That just means I have to post more. I will shortly pass the dormant Odelia and bust into the top 25. I'll bet I'd rank higher than that if word count were the metric.

...or pontification...or obfuscation...

...or Californication (hey, now I'm one post closer to 10,000...praise Zeus!)
