Well, Googling a new forum, I cam across this and thought, wow, right up my alley. I read the post about the college food making the students have the runs, and thought I COULD RELATE! I try not to eat as much, but I always have to take a poop. I take like 3-4 a day, maybe more. Then I finish pooping, and stick a clean finger in when I feel done, and I still find that I have more poop! I have a boyfriend, and he's in the navy and am scared of having sex with him and making a huge mess cause I always have to poop, what is going on with me!?

Chronic Bowel Movements
-
You're not saying how much you stool you pass with each movement. If you have small bowel movements than you will need to go more often. Do you always stick your finger up your toot-shoot to check if anything is left???
-
Um, sometimes my stomach will bubble and I'll go to the bathroom and it'll just be bubbly gas/runny mucus (if that) and other times it'll be a normal bowel movement and then I'll stick my finger in my butt and there's still poop in there (that comes on my finger) and so I stand and wash and then check and see if it'll come out and it doesn't. My question is, even if you poop, are there still traces of poop or a whole nother bowel movement inside?

It sounds like you might have an irritable bowel, or an inflammatory bowel disease. It's not normal to have bubbly or mucusy diarrhea all the time, if that's what you're describing. If it keeps happening, you really need to see your doctor.w average.

It's not diarrhea, like my stomach will be bubbly and then I take a crap and nothing comes out, just air and farting and a watery mucus sometimes. I think my body is telling me that I'm fat and need to stop eating so much.

Yes, there will still be traces of turn after a bowel movement. It sounds like you're constipated. Do you get cramps, or just gurgling? With all that eating, are you getting much fiber (vegetables, whole wheat bread, etc.)?

Wheat bread sometimes, and now that I'm in college, I don't eat that many veggies like I should >_< Gurgling I would say....

First off, you need to look into your diet. A lot of people don't have normal bowel habits if they don't get enough fiber. And fiber is good for everyone, even if their bowels function like clockwork. If you can't eat well, you can get a fiber supplement like BeneFiber (which has no taste and doesn't cause gas), and add it to whatever you're eating or drinking.I'd suggest trying that approach for a week or so, but if you continue to have problems, you need to see the doctor. Chronic difficulty crapping could mean that something inside the colon is interfering with the flow. Or you may have specific dietary issues that a doctor can help you with. (I assume (I hope) that you have insurance. If I were you, I'd ask for a referral to a gastorenterologist, if you do wind up seening a doctor. There might not be anything wrong with you, which will give you peace of mind, but the doc might still have some useful dietary tips.)
