Maybe they're Graeme crackers in the U.K. They call potato chips "crisps"...they have a different word for everything. How long do your dishes take to prepare, from start to finish? Even the simple stuff looks comlicated to me.(Uggghhhh....the guy at the next table is drowning his omelette in ketchup.)[Edit: Sylvester Graham, who believed in temperance, sexual restraint, and baths, in addition to vegetarianism, invented the Graham cracker. I'm not sure that there's anything like it in the U.K....sort of like Michael Jackson.]

Ewwwww.Um...cheesecake takes almost all damn day. lol Chicken takes about 30-40 minutes or so. Depending on how done you want it. I don't like my chicken dry so usually as my thermometer says it's done, I pull it out. (dry chicken tastes like overcooked turkey...yack!) And the potatos taken an hour to bake the first time. It takes about 15-20 minutes for me to scoop the inside away from the skin. And it takes about 25-30 minutes for them to turn golden one you put them back in the oven. They're really not hard at all. Just time consuming. I like to cook though.

Thanks for the recipes cenfath! I'll try them this weekend.

Thanks for the info. It's like I'm scared to tackle a complicated dish. No problem barbecueing or broiling a steak, but to me, making (for instance) a stew from scratch would be like building a space shuttle. The three women at the table next to mine (who are from Richmond, VA) were talking about food, so I asked them how they would describe a Graham cracker. We came up with: a flat sweet biscuit, usually honey-flavored (not sure if this is true), made with a coursely-ground flour. Then they gave me their cameras to take their picture.

Heres a chicken recipe thats pretty simple!Oven Ranch Chicken1/3 cup Progresso Plain Bread Crumbs 1 pkg. buttermilk ranch salad dressing mix 1/3 cup light sour cream 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves Heat oven to 375, Spray cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray. In shallow dish combine bread crumbs and salad dressing mix; mix well. Place sour cream in another shallow dish. Dip chicken in sour cream, coating well. Roll coated chicken in bread crumb mixture. Place chicken on sprayed cookie sheet. If desired, spray chicken with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender and juices run clear. Does anyone have any good Salmon recipes? I grilled some the other day,but it needed more flavors. Wasnt to bad for my first time though.

In reply to: Does anyone have any good Salmon recipes? I grilled some the other day,but it needed more flavors. Wasnt to bad for my first time though. I've got one, it's really not that hard to fix. I've fixed it a few times for my family (even thought I hate fish gags)Glazed Salmon Recipe from Holly Clegg's Trim and Terrific (Running Press Book Publishers) www.hollyclegg.com Yield: 4 servings 1/4 cup honey 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce 2 tablespoons lime juice 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lime juice and mustard. Marinate the salmon in the sauce in the refrigerator for several hours, or until ready to cook. In a nonstick skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray, cook the salmon on each side, 3 to 5 minutes, until golden brown, crispy, and just cooked through. Transfer the salmon to a platter. Add the remaining honey glaze to the skillet, and simmer, stirring, until the mixture comes to a boil. Return the salmon to the pan, heat thoroughly, and serve immediately.

I've used a Chinese garlic marinade (from a bottle) before broiling..came out good. You have to be really careful not to overcook salmon. But you don't want to undercook your store-bought salmom either.

Stew from scratch is easy hun!My mom and I use pot roast. We usually shred it. We fill a crock pot with water put the meat in it and let it slow cook with all the vegetables that we use. Carrots, potatos, onion celery. With mine though, I add a can of beef broth to the mix. Mom just uses water.

Honey Maid Graham Cracker I don't know if that helps either but it's the only brand I buy.I know you know what a cheesecake is but that crust that's on the bottom and the sides is made from graham cracker (for the most part). I'm not sure what the UK might refer to it as. =\
