OK So I had this debate elsewhere, lets see if people here think the same way.. Do you think Tweens and Early teens are sexual beings? Are they aware of there sexuality? Granted you cant classify every single person into this, but on general when would you feel that a person becomes sexualizesd and aware of sexual feelings and some sexual functions? Jackinworld(i think) said that 50% of boys start to masturbate when they are 12 year olds... But that could be kinda skewed because, its 'jackinworld'How about girls? When do they start to realize a sexual desire and feelings?Further along... Experimentation with friends with mutual sexual favors? Whats your oppinions on that, should tweens/young teens be allowed such or not?Im ready for the flame fest... But im not going to allow myself to get pissed off at it:)

Tweens sexual beings?

I think people are sexual beings all their lives, but how that sexuality is present to their minds is not always the same. Babies may play with their genitalia, but it's probably only a semi-conscious thing. With males there's a "mini-puberty" at 4 or 5 when testosterone levels increase, and apparently there's sometimes some interest in sex as a result, but usually in a fairly naïve way. As true puberty approaches interest and sexual feelings increase greatly and become more mature, but I don't think there's ever a sharp line between pre-puberty and post-puberty, it's a development. That's how I remember it was for me, at least.Mutual experimentation seems to be normal. You don't want actual baby-making to occur, of course, so there need to be some limits; but often attempts to stop early experimentation have much stronger negative psychological effects than what they attempt to stop.

That was when I found masturbation, and there was definitely a strong drive to masturbate for sexual pleasure and to relieve sexual tension - it wasn't just something that 'felt good'. It was all driven by puberty and testosterone. If it wasn't for those, I don't think I would have had the same desire to masturbate. But as ineligible said, it was a developing process as puberty progressed and testosterone continued to increase. While my masturbation at 12 was somewhat sexual and sexually driven, it became much more sexual and more intensely driven as I got older and my sex drive increased exponentially. As I developed into my mid-teens, it wasn't just wanting to get an orgasm as quickly as possible like when I was 12 - it became more interesting, and I became more curious and adventurous with exploring my own body and learning what feels good and what doesn't. Like when I was 14 or 15, I felt horny enough to think to try anal masturbation, whereas when I was 12, I either wouldn't have considered it, or would have been completely uninterested in it because regular masturbation was more than good enough for me at the time (maybe because it was still new to me).
