im such a fuckin' idiot. So my grandparents and parents were absoulutly amazing by buying me a car the day i got my license, because i need to drive to school everyday and my parents use both of their cars. I am to pay for insurance so don't think im one of those stuck up kids that get everything. But since ive had the car, which is only like 2 months ive already chipped the paint on both the front and back bumper, which they knew about and said I could replace in a few months as i get better at parking, got a moving violation (no it wasn't for speeding the cop was just being an asshole), slightly dented the front cover over the wheel (there was paint from the big pole i hit, but then i tried to wash it off and i accidently de-buffed that area, which looks just as bad) but somehow they still haven't noticed that, and then today right in front of my house i totally slashed my front right tire on the curb. I feel absoulutly awful and I don't even know what to do. I mean i have some money and will be willing to pay for it, but thats not the point, I hate disapointing my parents and i'm such a guilty person that i beat myself up over it. i try so hard but somehow i seem to be so un-trustworthy, its getting rediculous. i don't know what to do. my parents aren't that mad but i'm sure they are dissapointed. im just soo stressed out and on top of everything this is the hardest term ever in school. anyone with any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. thanks for listening.~MJ P.S. never trust me with anything expensive

Im such an awful daughter
-
relax, you're a new driver..things like that happen
-
Don't get so worked up over it... you try to hard to not disappoint your (grand)parents ... just relax and chill.
-
Awful daughter? no....awful driver? maybe, lol. I agree with Amanda, your driving will get better in a few months, its really not that big of a deal.
-
LOL.. Like they said, you're not an awful daughter, just a lousy driver. Seems like you need some more coaching in how to drive. It wasn't a new car was it?
-
Relax... I've seen worse. One friend has been in 3 or 4 wrecks and only had his lic a year His parents still arn't angry (Wern't his fault... amazingly ) So don't feel so guilty! Mistakes happens. Unless your doing it on purpose ...... ..... j/k

That actually reminds me of one of my friends... this happened like 1-2 months ago... he's this car freak and the kind of guy who messes aroudn with his car to jack it up to make it better and all... well he got his license on wednesday and totally wrecked it that same week on friday.
He then decided to stop buying lunch at school (that's when I see him, at lunch) until he has enough money for a new car . LOL
He gave up on that idea though... he got hugnry after a few days

actually if it were me and i felt that guilty i would just talk to my parents about it. I mean ur parents seem pretty cool to not be mad already so i would just sit down and tell them how you feel

thanks everyone, im impressed on how many posts in only a few hours. im not going to say anything until they notice and then ill either be like oh i never noticed it, or say o didn't i tell u. as bad as that is i telling them isnt going to make a big difference. thanks for ur support and i have to be much more careful now. oy who ever thought driving would be so difficult.
-
Maybe take drivers training? LoL.. i think before i took that i gave everybody whiplash!
-
Art least you still have the car, my sister borrowed one of my Dad's cars for the night and it got jacked.

Why didn't she have the chauffeur drive her?
-
I took two goes to get my licence, didn't actually get a car until I was nearly 28, and then had lots of crashes (nothing serious, thank goodness). Now I haven't had anything mush for years, so even bad drivers get better.I stick to the practice of having only beat-up old cars. There are many advantages: you don't worry if they get yet another dent; they are less likely to be stolen; and other drivers get out of your way. Don't beat yourself up, eMJay. Would you call someone else who had some minor diving accidents in her new car an "awful daughter"? No you wouldn't, so don't call yourself that either.

In reply to: Why didn't she have the chauffeur drive her? LMFAO

my parents aren't letting me get my license til i'm 20, because most 16 year old drivers aren't that mature and have alot of growing to do still.

Not letting you? Once you turn 18, what do they have to say about it?
