hello... first time post.recently ive run into a very confusing situation. ive been told by my doctor that i have chlamydia and according to my accounts of noticing symptoms i have had it for at least a few weeks. i told my partner, and she went to get checked out... within a couple of hours, they told her she was totally clean.the last time i had any sexual contact with anyone else was over a month ago... a woman performed oral sex on me, but i was wearing a condom.. according to what ive read, the chances of me getting it from that are almost non existant. since then my partner and i have been having a lot of unprotected sex with eachother. assuming that my doctor is right, and i have chlamydia, how is it possible that she doesnt have it? especially since the only possible time i couldve contracted it was over a month ago, and we have slept together unprotected a dozen times since then? is it possible that her test results could be wrong? i didnt think they could tell within a couple hours whether or not she had it, does that sound strange? my results took a week to come back...very confusing.

Question on chlamydia transmission
-
ok according to the web , the test can come back within 24 hours, but not as quick as your GF has said it did. I guess its possible that she is lying about it.What i don't understand is why you are having unprotected sex with her in the first place, you obviously havn't been together long, or if you have and you have had blow jobs by other women, then your not exactly committed. Chlamydia and STDs is the least of your problem to be honest, use protection of the next post will be that she is pregnant!!!

thanks... any suggestion on where i can find that on the web? ive looked at a bunch of stuff, but havent found anything that talks about how long a test takes to return...and regarding the other stuff... yeah, i know. its an incredibly huge, incredibly compliacated story that i didnt feel i needed to go into.. we're not together anymore because i found out she was cheating... and when that women gave me a blow job, we werent together, and i used a condom... unfortunately afterwards, my ex and i had a 'reunion' for a couple weeks until i found out more shit that she had done.what about getting chlamydia from receiving oral sex while wearing a condom? any thoughts? can you get chlamydia by touching a females genitals with your hands? i touched her, but i didnt touch my penis afterwards or anything... is that even a possibilty, to transfer from vagina to hand to penis?also, ive heard about a few cases of people getting chlamydia in the genitals after receiving oral sex from someone who has another type of chlamydia that affects your throat? i know my ex had a sore throat for a while when we were together, around the time of all of this... is it possible that thats where my genital chlamydia could have come from if she gave me unprotected oral sex?some of this sounds insane to me, but im just trying to clear up the possibilities!

web site this is the site i found and it says The most reliable ways to find out whether the infection is chlamydia are through laboratory tests.• The usual test is for a health care provider to collect a sample of fluid from the vagina or penis and send it to a laboratory that will look for the bacteria.• The other test looks for bacteria in a urine sample and does not require a pelvic exam or swabbing of the penis, and results are available within 24 hours.I guess it depends on what kinda test she had, whether she had an internal/pelvic exam or not, tho it doesn't say how fast these tests come back or if they can tell by just looking at it in the exam.
