Firstly i would like the say hello to everyone. I was wondering what comes first for a teen. Growth of the penis in length or girth. I am not sure and would like to clarify that girth comes last in growth. Thanks

Which comes first?

I always thought that love came first, then came marriage...Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but I thought I'd just say welcome!

I would say it comes at the same time but i have heard from other ppl that length comes frist then girth

Hi rushdude and welcome to A2A.Different people can vary, but it's common for length to increase first and girth to lag behind. It's especially common for girth to keep growing after maximum length is reached. This doesn't happen for everyone, though.

Thanks for the replies.

Also i once heard form somewhere that when you get a full beard on your face that means that your penis is done growing or is close to it. Is this a myth or does it hold true?
Thanks -
Well, since on average penis growth stops around 16 (though it can be finished at 12 or still be growing in your twenties), and you need to shave daily on average somewhere around 18, I think it would be true for most guys, but not all. I don't think getting facial hair early necessarily means everything will be early, though it may be more likely.

Yes, growth in length first, followed by growth in girth, is definitely most common during puberty. It's not like there's no growth in girth while its growing length, its just that its not growing in the same proportions, so there will be a period during puberty when there is a bit of a 'pencil dick' look (long length, but narrow girth relative to the length), but then the girth comes in late in puberty and everything evens out.

Ok thanks

I believe it is length then girth. I had a skinny dick but in my late teens it fatten up nicely. 6" 5.25"
