How old was your first retraction

This looks like a good spot for my standard "Retraction Horror Story":
Somewhere or another my mother had read that "usually" a foreskin could be fully retracted when a boy was six or seven. Mine hadn't, though she was continually nagging me to "Pull that d****d skin ALL the way back!" (My mother was, and remains, something of a pathological maniac, but that's a different horror story.)
So, when I attained the ripe old age of seven, Mother Dearest hustled me off to the town quack to get my "faulty" foreskin "fixed" and ensure that I'd be on schedule according to her personal reading and thus "expert" diagnosis of the "problem." I can still remember the horrendous pain as the "doctor" forced my foreskin off the glans before it was ready to fully retract on its own. In retrospect, however, that was only a small part of the "horror story." Following the forced retraction and the damage it created, my foreskin quickly adhered to the injured corona and remained "stuck" there for nearly eight years. Only when I was a teenager was I finally able to "break" the adhesion (it hurt like the devil, let me tell you) and restore my foreskin to something hopefully approaching its originally intended freedom.
As a result of all this, however, my foreskin never regained what I can only guess would have been its natural shape and size before the forcible retraction and its aftermath. It remains relatively short and has a tendency to "curl into itself," even after years of gentle stretching.
The moral of my story is this: Not all foreskins naturally retract in precise tune to an "average" timetable. Nor do they naturally retract simply because someone has decided it's time for them to retract whether they are ready or not. For most boys, they may indeed retract by age seven. But it's not unheard of (or abnormal) for natural, full retraction to occur in one's teens, even the mid- to late-teens. If you think you have a serious problem with retraction (and are older than say 15), then you might want to consult a reputable physician - and not some penis mutilator who feels about foreskins the way most of us feel about maggots. But don't "force it" just because you've heard or read that you're a little older than the "average" timeframe indicates. If you have a real problem, then find a reasonable and sensible way to fix it, based on sound medical advice and professional examination; but if you don't have a genuine medical problem, then don't risk giving yourself grief that you may long regret. Let Nature take Her own time in doing Her job -- unless it honestly looks like She forgot about doing it at all.

The first time i tried to retract it was when i was about 6 years old, but only managed to move it enough so that my eye was visible but that was very painful so i never did it again for about 20 years. I was about 14 years old the first time i masturbated.

About 17. I didnt even realise until then that you were supposed to be able to pull your foreskin back. Id seen loads of pictures of dicks with there skinned pulled back but I just assumed they were circumcised. It was only when me and a friend compared dicks, and he too hadnt been circumcised, that I realised you were supposed to. From then on I tried to but it was initially very tight. Over time and with lots of wanking it eventualy slid back easily.
