I don't really have a question, unlike my other posts, but I just felt like saying something positive. It's been awhile since I was on these forums, but I'm feeling far better than earlier this year. I was feeling depressed and alone, but things are getting better. This is also for all of you people that are depressed and feel like things are going wrong, keep in mind that there's always something better waiting for you if you stay in there.I was feeling awful not so long ago, and I felt isolated from everyone I knew. In addition, I've been suffering through social problems my whole life, being unable to feel comfortable in public and express myself. Carolyn, the girl that I care so much about, seemed like a hopeless goal to me. I was more than a little shy and childish about talking to girls prior to this year. For whatever reason, things have been going good. I'm not such a loner the way I used to be, and I've been happier with my life. For the first time in very long time, I'm feeling confident that I have the ability to shape my life the way I want. I'm getting be good friends with Carolyn, and I plan on asking her out sometime in the next few weeks.A school trip I just went on, to a music festival in Whistler, BC, Canada, it was one of the best times of my life. It wasn't the most exciting trip (although pretty good for a school trip), but rather than sitting alone the entire trip as I would've previously, I spent my time chillin' with awesome friends. Some recent events and conversations have really stuck with me, especially from the trip.I could go on or go into detail, but this is all I needed to say. My point is that there is hope in the future for everyone, no matter how far away everything may feel. I felt quite depressed not so long ago (I wouldn't have called it that then, but views change), and if you're living stagnantly doing the same repetitive things day in and day out, try changing something and doing something hard. For me, it was forcing myself to get over my social anxiety (not that I don't still get nervous around lots of people, but I deal with it better), among other things.I wish the best of luck to everyone
