About 2 weeks ago I was doing some very straining work that involved a lot of heavy lifting. After doing that the following day I was having some mild pain and a some pressure around the bottom of my anus and in the area between there and my testicles, also a little groin pain. Are there muscles in that area that you can pull or strain, I mean right between your legs...I alwasy thought that the muscle type thing you can feel in that area was the surface of the prostate?...The pressure was kinda bad, made it hard to sit for long periods, sorta like I was sitting on a small ball or somthing. But that has pretty much faded away and now at times it's not even there. I still have some minor discomfort. I'm a little worried it may be totally unrelated to the straining and might be somekind of infection of my prostate. On a side note, I have had a normal urine test since this for another problem and nothing showed up. Any thoughts?

Muscle or something else?

That area you are referring to between the anus and scrotum is called the perenium. There are a few small muscles there, but its pretty unusual to pull them. Possible, but unusual. You can't feel your prostate through your perenium. Your prostate can only be felt way up inside the anus, by feeling through the rectum. Have you had a hernia check since this happened?

I haven't had that, no, but for some reason I don't think it's that sorta thing. What about the muscles around the anus, is it possible that's what's been injured, sometimes I get a nice amount of discomfort there, immediatly below, not up close to the testicles. Thanks

I have an uncle who cant do heavy lifting cuz he will hurt on of his testicles but thats because he was hit there when he was younger and that one is now good now as it won't produce any more sperm.

Could it be a hernia? That's when the abdominal wall tears. It can happen from heavy lifting.
