I wanted to know if you think anyone thinks my situation warrants trying to get ahold of the emergency contraceptive (morning after pill). on Friday night my boyfriend and I were fooling around, but we did not have intercourse (he never entered me). we were both naked though, and im worried that some pre ejaculate may have touched me. I am on the pill, however, i was only on day 6 of the pill on friday (the month previous i went off it for a month due to the fact i was on antibiotics and was not sexually active) went back on it on May 8 (which was the first sunday after my period - i was no longer bleeding at this point but i wanted to use the sunday start method). I know that the pill says that you should use another form of protection for the first week, so does being on the pill for 6 days offer ANY protection? I just need peace of mind... If you think i am at high risk of pregnancy I can access the morning after pill but i only have until tomorrow night (the 72 hour gap). If you can tell me what you think - I would be so grateful...Thank you

Do i need morning after pill?
-
It seems very unlikely that you are in much danger, if he never entered you.
-
what if the tip of his penis touched me down there??i guess i have heard stories of pre ejaculate touching female gentalia and causing pregnancy...he didnt ejaculate on my vulva..but he might have above it in the pubic hair region...am i freaking out over nothing?? sorry. this has never happened to me before. do you think being on the pill for 6 days has offered me any protection at all?
-
I really don't know how much protection it has given you - probably quite a bit. I think the chances of your getting pregnant would have to be pretty low.
-
so in short, you wouldnt suggest getting the morning after pill?
-
I can't tell you what to do - that's a decision you have to make yourself.
-
The chances of getting pregnant from what happened is very very slim, I would try not to worry. However, if you are that worried, then take the morning after pill to put your mind at rest.

Thank you Angel.

Your very welcome.
One thing i did forget to mention, people always say that taking the morning after pill is a nasty experience, and this was true in the past, but newer types of morning after pills are ok, and only a very small percentage of women have unpleasant side effects, like throwing up etc. If you do throw up you need to get the doctor to prescribe you a different one, cos if you throw up it might not work.
Time is of the essence, its only effective in preventing pregnancy within 3 days, 24 hours after unprotected sex gives the best results.........so you will have to make a decision whether you take it or not pretty quickly. Good luck hon, hope everything works out for you, whatever you choose to do *hugs*

I too think you're fine.
-
Angel - I just took the morning after pill Plan B. Thats approx 60 hours after the incident. Should I still be concerned? Why do I not feel at ease? I feel so stupid - I didn't even have sex.
-
I really don't think you have anything to worry about hon, as you said you didn't even have full intercourse. You arn't stupid for worrying at all, its a scary thing, babies change your life forever! Please try to relax about it hon, worrying won't change anything either way, and it could make your period late, as stress and worry can do that. Relax and don't let this get you down........please feel free to PM me if you need to chat - unload - have a moan.......I'm here if you need me hon ok big big hugs

my boyfriend smokes alot of pot and his sperm count is low but we where going at it and right before he came the condom busted but we also pulled out and so not alot really came in me and i dont know what to do their is no way i can give birth and go threw pregnency to give my child away Please someone help me out here
-
How do you know how low his sperm count is? Has he had it measured? It sounds like you'd be a good candidate for the morning-after pill. What's available may depend on what country you live in. You need to call your local family planning clinic (like Planned Parenthood).
-
heya did you get the morning after pill in the end? everything ok?
-
well you see i dont want my parents to know so i was thinking maybe there is some way they can keep from finding out.....is there because the one in my town says you can only come with parents and i just dont know what to do is there another way??????????? :crazy
-
ok i tried finding the nearest clinic in my town and it says to get this pill i have to have a parent with me to get it.....but my mom cant find out or can end up getting kicked out of the house and i cant do that is there anything else i can do besides the morning afterpill......oh and my boyfriend said that you can take birthcontrol and it will make me have my period just like the morning after pill can do so does anyone think that will work?????

If you are pregnant (which is not likely but is possible), how are you going to hide that from your parents? They'll have to know eventually.
The morning after pill (which is basically a very high-dose birth control pill) is currently available only by prescription (the result of the FDA's regulatory function being influenced by religion), so I'm not sure what your options are, other than telling your parents. Maybe you could have someone pose as a parent (in order to get the prescription), but I didn't say that.
