Alright thanks, and if anyone knows what exactly is dandruff i thought it was just dry skin but then i heard it was a fungus ? so what is it
-
It's a fungal infection of the scalp. But if it's resistant to your anti-dandruff shampoo, you might need something stronger, or with a different active ingredient. And how do you know it's not lice? If there are lots of flakes on your shoulder that certainly sounds like dandruff, but if the main symptom is itching then it could be lice (which needs a different shampoo).

Heres pretty much anything you'll need to know about dandruff

I had really bad dandruff for almost four months. I tried Head and Shoulders, then Nizorol, and neither worked. I looked at each and realized that the active ingredient was basically the same, so I looked for shampoo that had a different ingredient. I found Neutrogena T-Gel, which has 0.5% coal tar. That worked. I took a couple of weeks, but it went away and hasn't come back.
