Has anyone gotten turned down for a job b/c of small scars around their wrist? Do employers assume it's self harm without knowing?

Self destruction and employment

I see... Things are not bad, how have you been?

fortunatly, the most radical of my scares are easily hidden by clothes so it's never been an issue.
From an employers' point of view, I woud naturally have to empathise but still take it into concideration. -
i have old scars around my wrists from cutting when i was like in ninth grade. My depression is much better now and i don't cut cuz i'm fine now, but they are a pisser. I have had people ask about them, like a doctor (gyno doctor). i wish people would mind there own buisness, although he is a doctor lol. but an employer should employ someone for their qualifications, not self appearance. With Physical dissabilities you are allowed to work and with other things like that, i don't like when people base thier judgement on the person with things like scars or even appearance. If they judge you for your scars, no telling what else they will judge.

Thanks, it's a front desk job and not many people come into the office. If I get it I'll wear long sleeves for the most part. Do you think I'm being overly cautious?
