i wish sometimes i had my foreskin back. sometimes i wonder what it would be like to be uncircumsized. i know its a pain-in-the-ass for some, having to clean out all the smegma, but i heard circumcision slightly desensitizes your penis. is this true?more of a statement than a question,Zach

They have a way to restore it and they say it works well..., But it takes a lot of time and involves stretching the skin back over the head of your penisCheck out sites like these:http://adult.eskimo.com/~gburlin/restore/image.htmlhttp://www.norm.org/http://www.circumstitions.com/Restore.html

You know what, here's a comparison that you can use. Put a band-aid on one of your fingers, and keep it on (changing it if you'd like), for 3 days or so. Then, touch your finger on a table and compare it to your other finger, I guarantee that the finger that was covered by the band-aid for three days will be more sensitive than the other finger that you use to touch an object. For example, cover your left middle finger with a band-aid, then after three days, take the band-aid off, touch a table with your left middle finger, then touch a table with your right middle finger, your left middle finger will be more sensitive to the touch, that's what it's like in a very general sense.

yes you do loose alot of sensitivity. Im the oppostie of you though sometimes i wish i was circumcised just because its the norm in the U.S and uncut people are sometimes looked at as "unclean". I wouldnt spend too much time worryin bout it though its not somin that can be undone once ur cut u pretty much stay that way. u can restore foreskin but not the nerve endings in ur glands

I just got circumcised 3 weeks ago and even tho its not 100% yet I would never wish for it to come back. I talked to several males who got it done later in life and they didn't lose sensitvty. sofar I love the way it feels but I didn't have sex yet;

Hello Kenyu:How does it feel to be intact? Wonderful! You feel whole, and unblemished. You feel that your parents honoured you by respecting your genital integrity, or at least that the larger society didn't pressure them to submit their new-born son to genital mutilation.Those of us who have restored our foreskin feel much the same way. It is as though we were still intact. Even professionals ... medical personnel and doctors ... assume that we are intact, when required by their duties and by chance to observe the completed results of foreskin restoration.The trouble remains that genital mutilation typically removes the richest collection of nerve-filled tissue in the human body, which is located not in the glans, but in the foreskin. Nevertheless, foreskin restoration significantly helps halt the constant and inevitable loss of sensation characteristic of the circumcised penis. The glans, for instance, was designed to be an internal organ. It's outer tissue is mucous membrane, which is required to be constantly moist, much like the membrane which lines the mouth. The penile foreskin and the glans are designed to work together in a mutually advantageous symbiotic union, very much like the relationship between the eye and the eyelid. Why else do we "blink" if not to bath the eye? And why else, among many other reasons, are we born "intact"?Foreskin restoration doesn't replace the original relationship with the original tissue, but it comes pretty close, especially when much of the original inner foreskin has escaped the knife.Therefore, Kenyu, I'd suggest that you seriously investigate the possibility of restoration. In exchange for the time devoted to the process, there are the results to consider, and the happy consequences. Finally, there's nothing quite like looking in a mirror and smiling when you see your triumph over unfair and brutal forces.By the way, washing beneath the foreskin with clear, clean water is no more difficult than washing your hands, though it is a lot more fun. Think how often you wash your hair, for instance, which collects a form of "smegma" (termed dandruff), which is far more irritating and difficult to remove. Korydon

they didn't lose sensitvtyI don't get it. If you have a foreskin and retract it, it's uncomfortable to wear pants. If you're circumcised (where the glans is also uncovered), it's not uncomfortable. So some sort of sensitivity to pressure (touch) is lost.

How do you know? A lot of people who've had it done during adolescence or later contradict you. Maybe it's true for some people but not for others.

There are many testimonials from males circumcised as teens or adults on icirc.com, circumcisioninfo.com, and circlist.com that disagree with you SteveA. They all agree that circumcision has either made their sex life better or kept it the same.
-
If I said that no one is happy with their (teen or adult) circumcision, that would prove me wrong.But that's not what I'm saying. People who post are a self-selecting group, and counting message board postings is not a reliable way to harvest statistics. It also tends to gloss over the long-term effects. Those effects, to the extent that they occur, happen slowly over time. It's not like you can jump from one state to the other and test it out.

In reply to: i wish sometimes i had my foreskin back. sometimes i wonder what it would be like to be uncircumsized. i know its a pain-in-the-ass for some, having to clean out all the smegma, but i heard circumcision slightly desensitizes your penis. is this true? What is your choice?

Uh, that's not a quote of me. But the choice is either to go though a long and difficult restoration process through stretching, or surgical reconstruction, which many find unsatisfactory.
