No more fast food and stuff like that and no more chips and junk food, but i was wondering if i can still drink soda...im like addictied to moutain dew ^^; or is can i still lose some weight while drinking it
-
Soda is it bad?
-
If you want to loose weight you'll need to cut the sodas out, or cut back on them greatly. It's nothing but empty calories and sugar, especially Mountain Dew.
-
Yea the one thing i did that helped me lose weight was cut back on soda. i drink one regular pop a day
-
ok thanks amanda, im going to start doing that.....i have a can of moutain dew with me right now its goonna be my last

Look at label on the can to see how many calories are in a can of Mountain Dew. Then figure out how long you have to exercise to burn off that many calories. Then stop drinking soda, which is basically carbonated water, a lot of sugar, and a little flavoring.
Your teeth will thank you.

no matter wut drink if its carbonated most-likely is not going to be good for you

Sodas have a lot of calories, cut them out. You can still have them sometimes though
-
Plain soda water (or seltzer) is OK, if you don't mind the burping and gas that it (and all carbonated drinks) cause.

I NEVER drink soda because it's so syrupy. I learned in Psyc that it can actually slow your brain processes from the loads of sugar and syrup. When I do drink it every now and then, i get sick b/c my body isn't used to it. Definitely stick to water, nothing else unless it's once in a while.

Pop is all right to drink on occasion, maybe once or twice a week, but every day isn't good for you. There is a lot of sugar in it. Something that's even worse, slushies (slurpess, frosters, or whatever else you may call them). Most juice has just as much sugar, sometimes more, than pop. So it's not a good alternative if you're just trying to cut down the calories. The upside is that real juice is actually good for you in some ways (vitamin C for example, although added vitamin C in processed juices is usually useless because it oxidizes and breaks down). The only time that I drink juice is right after I get back from a long run, since it quickly replenishes some of the body's sugar levels. It's still no replacement for water though.Basically, you should try to avoid sugary drinks and drink water instead as it is not only void of sugar, but it's the best thing for hydrating you.

Drinking fruit juice is not so good. Eating fruit is good.
A lot of fruit juices (e.g., orange juice) will make your blood sugar rise rapidly. If you eat an orange, you get a lot less juice than you do from a glass of OJ, plus you gain the benefit of the fiber (for healthy bowel habits, and to slow down the absorption of sugar).
-
In my case though, after getting back from a long run I'm completely drained. I also eat fruit after a run, because it helps to replenish your sugar levels and it's, as you said, good for you.

MD is kinda worse than normal soda. it`s if you need energy for sum activity not to drink everyday

Soda is one of the worst things to drink on a daily basis. I would hold back to only one can a week if you reallly cant live without it. Since you want to lose so much weight I would definitely say no soda at all.
