My daughter is 18 months old. Last month, I noticed that she had these things on her arms that looked like little moles, they are raised and are light in color. they started in the creases of her elbows, and now they's spread up her arm. There are about 10-15 on each arm, and one on her stomach. Now that they are spreading, the ones that orogonated in her elbow creases are gone. My mom took her to our doctor, and her said it was a virus that some kids get, and it will go away on its own in 8-10 weeks. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm thinking about taking her to the doctor myself, because my mother doesn't have the best mind for details, and I'm afraid she may not have told me the whole story.

What is this?

Definitely DO that. A baby is still riding on his/her mother's immune system until they're about 18 months old. If you started noticing these spots last month that's right around the time the baby is developing it's own immune system, so take her to the Doc as soon as possible.

I forgot to say that she is otherwise healthy, and the "rash" doesn't bother her. When she notices it she just points and says ewww. What could it be?
