So what are your plans? Please share them with us. (Also make sure not to ignore this question when you answer to my post.)Your problem is you want a hot girlfriend. You just go for looks. Pornos. Hollywood. Cheerleaders. Like I've said already, get real.

Does pot affect your driving?
-
And so does any other kid my age. I'm a writer for your information, I won all sorts of shit before and wrote shit and stuff. I'm probably going into journalism and I wanna be like Hunter S. Thompson. I've been told my at least a dozen sources I have a skill there and I'd believe them over some loser who's social life is on a message board.
-
Why do I even bother talking to you? You're hopeless.
-
no you are, i answered your questions and still nothings good for you
-
pot will affect anything you doit can effect a persons judgment, ability to assess risk, make good choices, and think of solutions to problems. You shouldn't drive ever if you are under the influence of ANY substance
-
Whether any of you want to face the truth or not, thier are hundreds of us in every state driving stoned.I'm sure you're correct. So what? Should I drive even more defensively than I already do?> I drive perfectly fine when I am,For the tenth time, how do you know? Even if your judgement wasn't potentially imparied by smoking pot, how can you really tell? I personally know people who drive drunk and are convinced that either it doesn't impair them, or that it makes them drive better.> but then thier are those who are fineThen are there those who are not? How do you really know you're fine? Can you prove it?> pot doesn't mess you up like alcoholNo, but it messes up a lot of (all?) people in different ways. I'm not concerned about how either one affects your personality. I am concerned about the way they might affect your timing, reflexes, and judgement. A lot of accidents are avoided by the person who is not at fault taking just-in-time evasive action.> which shouldn't be DUIed.You need to prove your case before anyone even thinks about this. Your gut feeling is not good enough. If you can prove that pot doesn't affect peoples' timing, reflexes, or judgement when they drive, I'm with you 100%.

Ok then, I have an idea. Let's get a camcorder and set up and obstacle course, we'll have about 5 people who are stoned and 5 sober. Each one will drive the same car through the course where things like fake cardboard deer and other fake vehicles slide out without warning, we'll see how each person reacts and then reverse it having the 5 sober ones stoned and vice versa to prove my point. Loser has to give head to the winner
-
Go for it.Expect for that last part, unless you can find 10 gay guys to do this.
-
How could I personally judge my perforamce in quick actions while stoned? Simple. I've drifted around around corners, up streets. I've done curves at 110, and pulled it off perfectly. Been in several races while stoned. I've been involved in both 'drag' style and 'road' style races. Anyone that races any of them knows shit can get crazy if the other guy loses it or gets scared, and that has happen. Avoided it everytime. So how do I have proof? I'm still alive. If it effected my driving, when I was on a 'curvy road' in a race with that other guy, how did I take a corner at 80mph and drift it? Damn. Good times. Am I telling people to go out and do what I've done. No. Just a few personal experiences. I do know people who can't drive while they are under the influence of marijuana. Besides all of it, WHY would you want to think that much when your enjoying your buzz? I'd prefer to walk places when Im high because its just more of an adventure. But just me. Carry on with your back and fourth arguement. I need to go study some more on Hiroshima. Sad bombing that was... Truely tragic!Good Day
-
I wouldn't be surprised if one day you just disappeared from the boards. Hard to get a good internet connection from 6 feet under.
-
Nah... That was back in the day. When I didn't really value my life. Like I said, I'd prefer to walk these days. Good exercise. I havn't done any of it in probably 3 months. I dont think my girlfriend wants me to die, so I need to be careful now
-
Oh, and I was thinking about getting back into the speeds and drifting again. But Im going to the track this time. Sober.
-
and you got me.. and i'd killll ya!
-
You don't need a car and obstacle course to settle the question, although it would be a useful experiment. But until you either do that or something similar in a laboratory, or you can cite such an experiment, STFU.
-
So how do I have proof? I'm still alive. What does that prove? Some people do very dangerous things for years survive, but a lot die.

In reply to: A 1983 study by the US National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) used stoned drivers on simulators, and concluded that the only statistically significant effect associated with marijuana use was slower driving. In reply to: A comprehensive 1992 study by the NHTSA found that marijuana is rarely involved in driving accidents, except when combined with alcohol. It concluded that "the THC-only drivers had an [accident] responsibility rate below that of the drug free driversS While the difference was not statistically significant, there was no indication that cannabis by itself was a cause of fatal crashes." This study was buried for six years and not released until 1998. In reply to: Another NHTSA study performed in 1993 dosed Dutch drivers with THC and tested them on real Dutch roads. It concluded that "THC's adverse effects on driving performance appear relatively small." In reply to: A massive 1998 study by the University of Adelaide and Transport South Australia analyzed blood samples from 2,500 accidents, and found that drivers with cannabis in their system were actually slightly less likely to cause accidents than those without http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/1775.html

I will throw this into the mix....
White lines... Here is your research...
Steve.... This is funny to read, isn't it?
Enjoy
-
You don't get 'lucky'. If it truely effected me, I would have wrecked. No way I could do it daily for months, stoned off my ass and not wreck if my 'reaction time was off'.
-
of course driving stoned effects your driving. a stoned driver won't be swurving (is that how you spell that?) all over the road like a drunk driver would. Most people i know (and when i used to smoke) tend to drive slower when they're stoned. Maybe it's due to fear of being pulled over, or maybe it's the effects of the pot. Look driving stoned can be done (i've done it hundreds of times) but it isn't recommended.

Maybe there's something weird with my Internet connection, but when I click on the link (or even http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles), I get a blank page.It seems that cannabisculture.com is rather oriented toward the use of marijuana.
