Well it really doesn't matter what you say because I have driven stoned with no problems and I will continue to drive stoned. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe I'm right and weed doesn't affect driving, I haven't gotten into an accident, recieved a citation, or even a middle finger or sounding of a horn so obviously I'm a functionally stoned driver whether you accept it or not.
-
Does pot affect your driving?
-
Yeah, obviously....screeeeech! Bang! Cool, everyone's dead, except the maimed people....screw them!I know it doesn't matter what I say, because a spoiled child always does what he wants to do, and no one can do anything about it.
-
Oh, no, believe me there's tons more. Everything you post gives me more "things to make a big deal out of"But maybe I just realized talking to you is worthless, like Steve said. All you wanna do is argue and fight, and I won't encourage that.
-
Okay, you're still not getting it then. That's fine, there's no point continuing this because I know I'm right and you still think you are.
-
I say you can't be objective about your performance under the conditions you described, you say you can. I say it's not scientific, you say you don't care. What more can be said?
-
What's that supposed to mean? That I'm so stoned I cannot understand what is happening at the moment? It's not LSD, people on pot are aware of themselves and their surroundings, you don't just become uncoordinated.
-
OK, now I know you're fucking with me. I've explained it in a way that should be understood by anybody with a rudimentary knowledge of science. I know for a fact that my perception of how well I do at most any task requiring concentration and attention is affected, so I know it affects some people. As I mentioned elsewhere, people are not always aware that their perceptions are distorted or that their reflexes are impaired. You seem to know for a fact that it doesn't affect you, and I'm trying to tell you that you can't know that for sure from inside your own head.
Either you're fucking with me or you're fucking stupid. I've now said the same thing at least five times, several differnt ways. If you still don't get it, fine.
-
How do you know your perception isn't off? How would you know? You wouldn't know because thats 'right' to you.
-
That's why so many people who are franky impaired get in their car and drive.
-
Because when I drive I always use the white and yellow lines as a guide, I study the distance from each side of my vehicle to the line and your vision isnt any different on weed, everythings just....better
-
You're saying that your vision isn't affected? Prove it. (Driving is not like playing a video game; you have to focus on things that are near and far, and you have to be able to rapidly shift between them). If you smoke (weed or cigarettes) in your car, the film that the smoke leaves on the inside of the windshield affects your safety if you don't clean it off often enough.
You're saying that your reactions to what you seeing are not impaired in any way? Prove it.
You're saying that your judgement is not impaired in any way? Prove it.
Hint: You cannot be part of the proof. No I, me, or my.
-
I do it everyday, safely, thats proof, i cant imagine what else you would want. now its the smoke on the winsheild, christ, i dont always smoke in the car and my car is non-ciggarette smoking. i seem to drive functionally or wouldnt any of the cops i pass by follow me like they do to drunks?
-
Goddam, didn't you say you did well in the science part of the SAT?I'm not saying pot will make you swerve all over the road like alcohol does. When you're passing cops, you're not in an emergency situation. Your perception, judgement, and/or reflexes might be impaired just enough to cause you to react a bit too slowly, or do the wrong thing, in an emergency situation. And your perception of your perception isn't worth shit.Haven't I already said both of those thinks at least ten times already? Is there some part of that that's still not clear?
-
Yo white.. I was pointing that at Steve, not you. I know its possible to drive stoned and safe. lol
-
In reply to:
I know
People know that Jesus talks to them. People know their spouse would never cheat.
A lot of people "know" things that are unknowable (given the information available), or are wrong. If it's something that reinforces their other beliefs, or is just convenient, then people are even more motivated to "know" such things.
-
I took the ACT first off, and you don't nessesarily have to be skilled at science, math, english, reading, etc to get a good score. The answers are all there inside the test, espcially science you just look at stupid graphs and answer questions on it.
I think the only way to settle this is for you to get stoned and drive, if you die i promise to pay for all medical expenses etc and throw you a grand funeral parade and shit.
-
No, the only way to settle this is for you to say something like, "I think I drive OK when I'm stoned, but I can't prove it, and it's possible that I am impaired in some way." Or prove that you can drive OK. But I know you'll say to that, "No, I drive fine." I know you're trying to be funny, but me driving stoned doesn't prove anything either. It's as much an issue of logic as it is science. You clearly don't get it, but hopefully other people who read this tedious, tedious thread might stop and think.
-
What happened to your friend Chantel?
-
Does Chantal drive while stoned?
-
Yeah, but not cars. Naw, I thought I was sending a private message, but NOOOOOOOOO.
