I noticed on this site that for the STD Trichomonas that they have listed as a possible treatment the drug Zithrofax or Azithromycin. In all the CDC guide lines and other web sites I noticed they only list the drug metronidazole (Flagyl)? My qustion is does the above Zithroflxin and Azithromycin cure this disease as well as Metroniadazle and if so why is it that this web site lists the alternativea and all the other guidelines refer to taking metronidazole?Signed hopw I took the right thing?

Well, we're not doctors here (or anything medical for that matter). What's listed on this website outside of this forum is up to the owners of the website. We can't tell you what's right or wrong except through knowledge gained through personal experiences and research. I did a cursory search and it seems that the preferred treatment is metronidazole (Flagyl). I have no idea about the alternatives listed here.

I looked on the CDC Website and that is what was posted as possible medications. I was just curious to find out how you had listed your recomendations with the alternative meds. I also sent a question to Ask the Dr. I hope he is a real Dr ? My questions comes down to where did they get this information, I hope it was from a DR?Thanks

Don't say "you". We here in the forums have nothing to do with anything medical or any content of this website. Period. The owner of the the website is a real doctor. You can contact him, as you said you did, and question the alternatives he has listed.

I had trichomonas and the doctor gave me the antibiotic Zithrofax and it healed in a day, so I know that it will help it.
