-

-

-
o i only asked cuz i think i have some of em. thanks. anything else?

Chocolate has caffeine (not white chocolate, it's not even real chocolate). That's probably what you're feeling. But, for brain food, what I would NOT suggest is fast food, anything really processed and greasy, or high sugar food items. Be sure to eat healthy, and eat enough carbs to keep your body's energy levels up (to those people who are eating low carb diets). As far as foods like pizza go, they're pretty good. Sure, a lot of pizza is greasy, but it's generally not filled with MSG and other additives that are in so many greasy foods.

Pizza is made with olive oil, which is "good" grease (good for your cardiovascular system, but still high in calories).
-
Olive oil is good for you ^_^, although it probably depends upon the pizza (I'm sure that not everyone uses olive). It consists of monounsaturated fats, which raise your HDL cholesterol levels (good cholesterol) and lower your LDL cholesterol levels (bad cholesterol). Polyunsaturated is so-so, saturated is bad for you (opposite effect of monounsaturated). Trans are awful. I believe that, chemically, they're a mirror image of polyunsaturated but for whatever reason that makes them far worse, and they get this way through processing. That's why you try to avoid anything with hydrogenated oils (like many of the cheap brands of margarine).

ok poster guy. this worked for me so it has to work for you besides im the dumbest person ever. fish! plain and simple. fish is brain food. it is a proven fact. i think because of what it contains. but if you dont like it then try to eat it if you wanna do well. remember fish. any kind. cant find any? get a fish filet at mcdonalds. wiat there fish isnt real so go to a chinese or Japanese store.or... cook it yourself
-
It's true, fish has omega-3 fatty acids. They help in similar ways to monounsaturated and are supposed to have long-term effects of increased cardiovascular health and prevention of alzheimers (spelling?). I take fish oil and flax oil supplements because they're high in omega-3s. Fatty fishes (generally, dark ones like salmon) are better for you because of this.
-
yea i take cod liver oil supplement
-
rule #1 for taking the SATs. RELAX. you're in high school and you're about to take the worst type of standardized tests this world has ever seen. in 30 years do you think anyone will care that i got a 1120 on the SATs? hell do you think anyone cares now (i'm 23) just relax and you'll do fine, and don't worry about brain foods. get up that morning, have a cup of coffee and a bagel or something and go take the test.
-
Fish oils are really good for your brain, and can help imporve memory etc - so 'they' say, not sure how long it takes to see an effect tho, so i guess taking them even a few days before an exam wouldn't be must use!
-
