it seems like all of my friends are finding someone they are totally smitten with, and it's driving insane because here I am, alone and well...lonely. I'm so jealous, and it's annoying to get caught behind a couple in the hallways because they have to walk extra slow to "have more time together". And it's annoying that my one friend wants to use my cell phone to send mushy texts to her bf. Is anyone else going through this? and if so, how do you get over the jealousy? is it possible?

Extreme disappointment and jealousy

Personally, I have been through this before. You feel like everyone has got someone and you haven't. The jealousy roots back to the point 'you want a boyfriend'. This is a way to get over the jealousy. Maybe you should spend time away from your friends and try to find a boyfriend of your own, if you are ready.

"Just squeeze your rage into a tiny little ball and release at an appropriate time...like the time I hit the ref with a whiskey bottle, remember?"
-Homer SimpsonSeriously though, it really blows to see couples all around. I get some kicks out of knowing like half will end up divorced...But then I'm a bastard.

I went through this for a period of time. I would have to say enjoy it by finding other single gals to hang out with. There are always single girls since there's more of us than them. If you don't think of the couples as one item but as two friends, it may be easier for you to not be jealous.

yeh the annoying thing is that you really only find someone when your not looking for a realtionship, i went through that period where i was really lonely and i didnt find anyone, when i let go n wasnt really wanting to get into a relationship i found someone nice
