Background- I have a naturally very petite vagina. I could never use even the smallest of tampons comfortably, fit more than one finger in comfortably, and I've had 3 or 4 pelvic exams and each time my thick hymen tore a bit and left me sore for nearly a week.I recently lost my virginity to my boyfriend who has a somewhat (but not outrageously so) thick penis, and during the act I tore a little 3 more times! Once that was over with though I was able to enjoy it, and got into a rhythm contracting my PC muscles each time as he withdrew. It felt great to me but luckily I thought to ask him if he liked it better constricted or relaxed and he said relaxed so I stopped doing it. Afterwards he told me that it felt like the entrance was trying to cut off his penis... He didn't want to say anything because he thought he might upset me... (Don't worry, I'll get it into his head that he can always tell me anything yet!)But my question is, will I have to fight the urge to tighten my pelvic floor mid-coitus forever or do I just need to let my hymen stretch out a little more before the combination of my size and strength is not unpleasant? x_x Is it possible for a woman's PC muscles to just be naturally too strong or too concentrated over a thin area like that? I know I've done Kegals out of boredom since I was a little girl and had no idea what I was doing even had a name, but I don't have a strict regimen for them or anything and they don't lift weights!Any help or thoughts appreciated. ^_^

PC muscles too strong?

Has a doctor told you your hymen is still intact?

Doctors have made no comments on my genitalia whatsoever unless you count, "Relaaax... try to relaaax.... are you sure you're relaxing?" -_- But I can still see it all around the edge, slightly uneven leftover edges of a thick membrane. I'm not familiar with the proper names of hymen types but it's just pretty normal, only thick and not torn in enough spots to stretch open very far; and since I'm small anyways it doesn't have a whole lot to stretch from. If I tighten my muscles just a little bit all the edges can smoosh back together and you can't really tell it's not a thick, solid wall.

You sure you're not looking at you labia minora? If your hymen was still intact and you've had a few pelvic exams already then a doctor would've said something. If a doctor can examine you, then surely you can fit a tampon in comfortably, if not then you're not inserting it right. Don't use your PC muscles during sex if it's uncomfortable for your boyfriend.

No, my labia minora are there, too. They're short so they don't come near close enough to my vagina to confuse the two. And my hymen is not intact, it's been torn on at least 5 occasions that I can remember and realized what had happened. I doubt it was entirely intact any early than age 5 if not earlier than that. But a small ring of the tissue from it remains and it's very thick and not very stretchy. The doctors are able to examine me, but so far they've always torn me (days of burning urine afterwards! >.The thing about just not using my PC muscles is that it takes a lot of concentration not to. When I'm excited and there's penetration it's just what my body is telling me to do. It's like making sure not to move your hips or moan... And considering I've only ever had one clitoral orgasm at the hands of a vibrator and it quite honestly felt like I died for a few seconds, and yet I'm very sensitive to vaginal thrusting I'd kinda like to feel free to get into it... Oh well, it'll be at least a few months before I get to see my boyfriend again and in the meantime I can do some stretches and see if that helps any.

It may be that after you're both more used to each other that he might enjoy those PC contractions.
