Delish, Thanks honey kiss In reply to:Yeah, me too, but I wasn't expecting such an explosive reaction with so much naughty language. I thought it was part of the charter of this message board that posters analyze each other, even if they haven't done anything to you personally. But flamboyant bold purple font certainly draws attention to one's post. It's kind of like driving your car around with your windows open and your radio blaring...even if the music on the radio is very nice, it still draws attention. Java_Addict, this is a separate issue from the content of the posts. well the use of 'naughty' language as you call it steve was because, thats the second time you mentioned my purple font, and hey you really outta have something else to bitch about that what colour i choose to type in! and the way you had a go pissed me off! I didn't think part of this forum was to analyse other posters (did i miss something?) but hey analyse me all you want, i doubt you will get it right..........since you have already got me wrong, i don't use this font to draw attention to my posts - sometimes i have very little of interest to say LOL - however I have always done what i want, if i want to listen to my fav song loud in the car with the windows down then i do, its not to draw attention to myself, its just that i couldn't give a shit if it happens to do that or not! same with the purple font......@ insearch: your right about me not being the same as everyone else, i dye my hair red with black streaks so i guess there is something to what you said LOLOh and all this off topic crap was because of you steve, so don't get on your high horse being a critic of everyone else who does it.........pot calling the kettle black i reckon!

Imaginary Friends (the stupid font arguement)

Off topic, but...
In reply to:

Do that around here and you'll get ticketed. Kind of the way you might if you peed on my doorstep. There's this grownup idea of balancing your wants with others' inconvenience.
Your garish font is not exactly the formost thing on my mind, but it reminds me of the one kid in school who dresses in black, wears heavy makeup, and has everything pierced. Nothing wrong with it, just...interesting.

In reply to: There's this grownup idea of balancing your wants with others' inconvenience. so now im not a grown up...........ahhh well whatever you say steve!...............oh and don't worry i won't pee on your doorstep either........

Pretty soon EU folks will need a visa to come here. I don't think they'd give you one for that purpose.> so now im not a grown upI don't know your general maturity level, or even how to measure someone's maturity level, but you sound like an adult. I did not mean that you're a child. But certain behaviors, especially self-centered ones, are childish. To tie it into the topic of this thread, some would argue that an adult having imaginary friends is infantile. Some people feel the same way about adults watching cartoons. I don't agree with either, but in any case, they don't affect others in any way, as far as I know. Now I won't say anything about how one takes criticism, but you need not react so strongly to my criticizing your font. What I think shouldn't be that important to you, and the font doesn't really bother me much. It was just one item in a list. Maybe I should have weighted it....your font bothers me 0.8 on a scale of 10. People beating up their children bothers me 9.7 on a scale of 10. There's some perspective.

In reply to:But certain behaviors, especially self-centered ones, are childish. So to sum up you think i am self-centered?

So to sum up you think i am self-centered?Everyone is self-centered to varying degrees at varying times. (Would it be possible to make a more passive statement? ) No need for sweeping generalizations.A: "Those shoes are very nice, but perhaps you could find a style that would better complement that lovely dress you're wearing."B: "Mrfr, you think my clothes are ugly and I don't know how to dress myself?!?!? How could you say what you said to someone you love! This is how men and women sometimes communicate. I once dated a woman who had borderline personality disorder. Some of our conversations were pretty bizarre...a lot like A and B. We were a perfect match indeed.

Great, now everyone will think I started this stupid bloody argument sigh
