My testicles have been a little sore over the past several weeks to a month or so and they have been pulled in - that is to say they are not hanging. Is this something to be worried about or are they just sore and I should give them a few weeks with no sexual activity to heal, getter better and they will drop again?Or is this like a I need to see a doctor right away type situation?

Just more background info - last night I masturbated for the first time in approximately a week. I had a lot uncomfortable feelings from my testicles to say the least. And that's when they ascended or pulled up so to speak.... though this isn't the first time that's happened.

Welcome to A2A, seewhatitis. I think this definitely needs a doctor's examination. The testicles' being pulled up, when not due to cold, suggests some sort of stress, and 'uncomfortable feelings' also indicate something is wrong. There are several possibilities, so it needs a proper examination. I think you've given it enough time to make sure it's not a temporary twinge, and now is the time to get an appointment with the doctor.

I've experienced something like what you're describing for 10-12 years now. It comes and goes. I can only wear loose fitting boxer because anything putting even the slightest pressure on my testicles for more than a couple of minutes causes not-so-fun pain. I saw a Dr. a couple years ago...no help at all. I finally asked my new Dr. about it recently. He felt me up and discovered I have a hernia. Somehow it puts pressures on the bits and pieces that causes the pain. If I have surgery to fix the hernia, the pain should stop. Trouble is...surgeries cost money. That being said...don't pull a bone-headed Damien move and wait 10 years to get it looked at. Go now. It could be a simple problem with a simple solution.

A week later still a lot of discomfort down there in the grown area - it's as if a pulled something in one of my testicles or they are partially crushed in - both are up and uncomfortable... level of discomfort is mild but constant....I have a doctors appoint in about a week, is that okay to wait or is this something? The only place i could see sooner would be an urgent health center and I'm not sure that they have any expertise to deal with any of this.

It's hard to say. If it is a problem of blood supply to the testicles then it is urgent, but I don't know if it is or not.
'Twisted testicle', which you may be thinking of, causes severe pain and needs treatment within hours if the testicle is to be saved. But it is possible to have less severe versions.
Any health centre ought to be able to make at least a preliminary diagnosis.
