I have a questions to all of your guys. I am a foreigner, but now I live in Michigan. In my own country I was diagnosed with ureaplasma urectalyum and mycoplasma hominis. I keep telling doctors here about these infetions which are considered STDs in my country, but doctors here say that they are not pathogens. Although I know these infections may cause urinary tract infection, nephritis and other things like that. Has anyone ever had these infections? What testing labs did you go to? What can you advise me to do? The testing labs I found in Michigan do not do tests for these two organisms.

The problen unknown in the USA!
-
Never heard of it. Here's a medical article:http://www.emedicine.com/med/topic2340.htm
-
Thank you! I have read it before.
-
So do you live in San Diego or Michigan?
-
I live in Michigan.
-
So why did you have San Diego in your location in your info (which you have now removed) ?
-
Did I? I did not know about that and do not know how that happened.
-
Yes you did.And I'm sure it was magically put there, and now just magically disappeared right?
-
She's in Michigan.
-
How do you know? She already lied once.

I am sorry to say this to you, InSearch, but is it that big of a deal where I live: Michigan or San Diego. I just asked a question and did not lie about my location. Why are you so concerned about it?
-
It's a big deal because I don't like people who lie.
But you're right, it doesn't really matter so let's forget it
-
I did not lie!!! I did not even say I live in San Diego. Why do you even think I am from San Diego! I am a foreigner and I know I might have some problems with English, but not with the names of states of cities!!!! I do not like people who bash me for no reason!!!!!!!!!
-
I am sorry for being so short-tempered. Let's just forget it. I am sorry again!
-
You don't have to be sorry for anything...you did nothing wrong, he obviously wasn't looking at your profile, and where you're located has nothing to do with your question.
-
If you show your doctor this and he still doesn't know what you're talking about, you certainly need to find a better doctor.
I don't know where exactly you live, but I suspect you'd do better at a major medical center with a serious infectious diseases department. I know that the major hospitals in Boston (e.g., Brigham and Womens, Mass General) deal with lots of things that are very rare in this country. Are you near a facility that's associated with a medical school (like a teaching hospital)?

Thank you for trying to help me. Well, I dealt with three different doctors who did the main tests for chlamidia and gonorrhoea, but have not heard anything about those two infections. One of the doctors seemed quite professional. Well, I live near Detroit. I am sure, there is a place where they could take cultures for these infections, but I do not know the area too well, since I arrived here only in December. Thank you for trying to help me though. I guess, now I have to find a clinic where they could do those tests.

This guy is in your general neighborhood (Springfield, IL). You ought to contact him to see if he can point you to someone in your local area.

Thank you for being so responsive. I appreciate it. I have already contacted the doctor and now I am waiting for his response.
