i'd say swimming would be the best for fat burning. But out of them three i'd say bike riding. If you're not doing much excerise try and cut down on foods you know are bad for you. It's been well documented what foods are good and what foods are bad, you just need some willpower. And even if you want to treat yourself to some junk food once in a while, try making it yourself. You can make perfectly healthy burgers that taste just like the unheathy ones, and you wont be eating perservatives or any of that crap either. edit - another tip i forget to mention is if you don't have alot of time and like food you can cook quickly without having to make it at that point in time i suggest this... If you have a day off work, or a night you're not doing anything on, then cook. You can either cook food which you could eat the next day, or just leave it raw so you can cook it another day without having to prepare it. I find that really helpful so i can keep myself away from packaged foods that are full of things you dont want to be eating.

I thought running is better than biking. All the things you do with biking can be done faster with running

As long as an activity gets your heart rate up in it's fat burning zone you're doing fine.

Running is harder on the knees and other joints. And it's more boring than biking, so it requires a higher degree of motivation for some people. The advantage of running is not having to deal with another piece of equipment, and you can run on a beach and other irregular surfaces.

Running is the best out of those, but you should always remember to STRETCH before, and more importantly, after.Cut out sodas, and any kinda of 'treat' foods (Chocolate, and other candies). That combined with running should make you loose weight. And if you already are a perfect angel with eating, I reccommend running more. The longer your in the aerobic heartrate zone, your burning calories.

Running is OK if your knees are OK, but there's nothing scientific behind the stretching thing...it's a tradition. I start slowly to give my muscles a chance to warm up, but never stretch. It's a waste of time that itself can cause injury.

In reply to: I thought running is better than biking. All the things you do with biking can be done faster with running Running is considered high impact compared to biking. I personally would consider biking before running. Then again, I don't care for cardio exercise. Weight training rocks.
