Of course the plant marijuana is harmless! There has been no reason to suspect that smoking has any bad health effects whatsoever. I am so glad you have helped me see the errors of my ways without antagonizing me.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

In reply to:I thought this was a place to get help with your addictions You smoked it 4 times in 2 months, how is that an addiction?
-
I hate to tell you this, but when it comes to marijuana, getting caught is a lot worse than the drug itself. Many people smoke pot without major a major affect on their life, while many people get drunk every night, with a very major affect on their life. Peoples lives and careers can be ruined by a drug conviction. And for what? Because it's bad for them?
Do you see the issue? Even if smoking pot is bad for you, having your life ruined by the legal system is worse. If you're rich and influential, you can usually get out of it. If you're not, you're screwed.

Yes, a civil citation for $200 really destroys your life.

If you want a job at the Arby's, it's no problem. If you want a government job or another job where they check on such things, it could be a problem. Most jobs are "at-will", which means that an employer can fire you for any reason, or no reason. If you're an athlete, if you participate in after-school activities, it could be a problem.Laws vary by state, and so do penalties. If you're caught with more than a certain amount, you will go to jail. If you are not wealthy and you have a house and you go to jail, kiss your house goodbye. Also, kiss your career goodbye, unless your career is putting fries into hot oil.Burger flipper dude, you need to expand your perspective beyond your pathetic little life.
-
My dad used to smoke, I think at least because all his adult friends I am positive used to, he holds a top-secret government clearance, it didn't ruin his life. He makes more than you ever will. Besides, I'm not looking to be a technician who works on government computers or any shit like that. I'm going into writing and all the great writers smoked so I'll do just fine. I already got my first job doing it.Oh yeah, and people wh have large amounts usually aren't the types interested in a career in investment banking or insurance, the drugs are their career and they just don't give a fuck what it takes to contuinue doing it. Oh yeah, and I quit my job today. I'm getting a better one when I come back from vacation. You're a liar and a pathetic fuckhead it you believe there's something wrong with someone under 25 working at a resturant. You only lose the house if it's being used for drug transactions, same with cars, money, boats, etc.Athletes don't smoke because it's not the best for their lungs, and at my school they only drug tested once s a lot of them did smoke on occasion. If you do your job right your employer may not give a fuck what you do on your own time.
-
So your father's a goddam idiot like you. The shit falls close to the dog's ass.
Your father did drugs while having a top-secret government clearance is no more impressive than if he embezzled without getting caught. He'd have been pretty screwed if he was caught. He or someone had to buy it. That fuck did put his livlihood at risk. I had a secret clearance, so I have some idea what I'm talking about.
Your little universe seems to revolve around yourself. So your going to be the next Hemmingway? Fine. Most of the people who read your insane clown shit are not.
I wasn't talking about having your house siezed in a drug bust. If you can comprehend simple language, you'll see I meant that, unless you're wealthy, if you're in prison, you can't work, and thus can't pay your bills. Maybe you fuckmate in prison will pay your mortgage for you.
A lot of schools are drug-testing everyone who wants to participate in after-school activities. It may not be good, but it is legal. Now a lot of schools would like to test all of their students.
I really couldn't care less what the hell your job is. What I care about is that you know so little about living in the real world, supporting yourself, owning a house, all that stuff, but it doesn't stop you from commenting. You may know a lot about marijuana, but you know less about other stuff than you think.
-
Not while he was employed, like when he was my age. He's so paranoid now that he thinks that if I get caught he'll somehow get reprimanded. He smoked when he was in high school and college and still turned out more successful than you were ever be in your miserable pathetic life of posting just to get a higher post count.I know a lot about a lot of things. You don't know my goals and abmitions and you can't judge someone by the fact they use drugs.
-
He never even actually admitted it anyways, I just have my suspicions and I always brought it up back when he used to take my dime sacks in 9th grade and flush them.
-
You have a one-track mind, dude with 349 posts since 5/7. I never said people who smoke pot would become failures. I don't know much about you or your family, and you don't know much about me. You don't know how successful I am or how much money I have. You can form whatever image you like in your mind, but realize that you may be completely wrong. If you get busted for dope, and your father has a job that requires a security clearance, you'll get a $200 fine, and your father will be pretty screwed.
-
No, I'll appear in court and pay the $200 fine. My uncle who is a criminal attorney will probably get the charges reduced or even dropped anyways, he's always helpful with embarrassing legal situations. Like the time I did a hit and run, got it dropped to a simple "improper backing" citation, no I wasn't high or drunk. I'm an adult and my family isn't held responsible for what I do, unless they or their property is involved, and it is not, they are not criminally liabale, for a shitty misdemeanor charge.
-
Do you live with a person who has a security clearance? If so, then they are at risk. If nothing happens, then they are lucky. You understand the difference between responsibility (financial, legal, etc.), and issues with a security clearance, right? If you're an adult, no matter what you do, criminal or misdemenor, they are not responsible. When I got my security clearance, I had a coke dealer as a roomate. Even though I wasn't liable for anything he did, it was a potential problem. It must be cool to be a white guy with criminal attorney as an uncle.
-
It must be cool to be a white guy with criminal attorney as an uncle. We're Jews, we can either be lawyers, dentists, jewlers, or work in Hollywood.
-
There isn't any large-scale operations going down at my place of residence, they don't take someones security clearance who has held one for 20+ years and has established a reputation because his son got caught with a joint, where do you get your information? I have a relatively clean record but my sibling has been in troubke for pot-related crimes a couple of times and my dad didn't recieve any shit for that.
-
I got my information from the employer that did the paperwork, dealt with whatever govenment agencies had to be dealt with, and issued me the security clearance. Where do you get your information from? One of the things that they're most worried about is your putting yourself in a position where you can be blackmailed. If you tell them you've used drugs in the past, you can still get a security clearance. If you lie, and they find out that you lied, you're screwed. If they figure out that the son of someone with a top secret clearance was busted for drugs, and lived in the same house, they'd wonder if they father knew about it, and if he did, would he be subject to blackmail?
-
The point is I'm out of my house and no threat to my family, I keep to myself and don't even look like a drug user, on April 20th when all my co-workers were making subtle references to being stoned and i said something they all acted surprised thinking i was so innocent. Besides, i think my dads boss is an ex-pothead or he probably still smokes on occasion, he looks like a total hippy.
-
LOL you guys make me laugh. Good luck in court
