Yup, a water bottle full of vodka would go just great with the Xanax.

Scared of flying-help please
-
Pop a Zanax with a vodka chaser... Yikes!!!
I doubt you would even remember the fight at all... lol -
Someone my wife went to university with did that. She popped a pill, then paniced because she didn't feel any better so she popped another. As soon as she was in the air she ordered a bottle of wine.Poor girl was carried off the plane.

ROFL that would be a sight to see.
I have issues with planes as well. I usually have a glass of wine on the plane to calm my nerves and usually a shot or two of tequial before I get on the plane. But I'm also clinically claustrophobic as well.. so there's a strong reason for my anxierty with flying hehe.

The first time I ever flew my dad scared the shit out of me! I was trveling with my mother to Las Vegas for an Avon convention and right before we got on the plan my dad gave me a big hug and then he started telling me the plane was going to crash. I was only 11 or 12 and I starting crying like a baby because I was so terrified the plane was going to crash. My mother and sister litterally had to drag me on the plane. I was sitting in my seat holding onto the armrests for dear life sobbing because I was scared. Well after a while I put my head phones on and starting listening to some music and it just calmed me right down. And of course as you know the plane didn't crash, I wouldn't be here typing if it had. After I had calmed down it was a rather enjoyable ride. I really enjoyed the flight home as well... getting to look out the window and seeing all the clouds and all the tiny specks below was pretty amazing to me. I can't wait till this november because I get to fly to Ohio... I'm so excited ^_^

why the heck did your dad do that?
-
Wow, your father was a dickhead.I sometimes would mildly scare my lady friend by telling her that the pilot was lost...but I would never say anything about crashing. Every time there was a bit of turbulence, she'd dig into the armrest and grab my arm. She's a nervous flyer.

My father has a sick sense of humor, and he thought he was being funny... when he clearly wasn't. It really terrified me. I was shaking so badly when I finally got on the plane... but at least I got over it and I'm no longer afraid to fly ^_^

Sounds good to me!! They did warn me not to drink any alcohol so I stuck to my coffee. I took Diazapam and after taking one it didn't seem to make a difference so I had another one. They must have worked as I was not as nervous but I can sympathise with your fear but well done you for flying with your job.
