I have been getting a painful sensation on my labia that feels like paper cuts--I've changed my toilet paper and it hasn't stopped. Internally today I noticed an off-white discharge that is sort of like a crumbly cheese. My gynocologists haven't been able to diagnose me with anything more than a bunch of yeast infections but it's putting a huge damper on my libido. Has anyone experienced this sort of subtle pain or have any recommendations? I've been in a monogomous relationship with the same faithful partner for 5 years and keep testing negative for STDs...

It sure sounds like a yeast infection. Were you treated for that, but the symptoms didn't go away?

Last year I got more than 6 yeast infections--turned out I was incredibly infested and each treatment just made symptoms go away temporarily. The last time I thought I had one in late May my gyno said it wasn't anything. This discharge is very dry and the paper cut feeling is not itchy, just very uncomfortable. I don't think it's yeast...

I don't know what would cause a white, clumpy discharge other than a yeast infection, but I'm not a gynecologist. Did your doctor have any expanation for why you're getting so many yeast infections? There's always at least a small amount of yeast normally present; what keeps making yours frequently grow out of control? Here's some information on the causes of vagnal yeast infections from someone at Michigan State U.

I have to agree with steve, it sounds like thrush.......some women as susceptable to infections often, if this is the case with you, try not wearing underwear as much as you can, while at home etc etc, it helped me a lot, after the first time I had thrush i did that, and havn't had thrush since, and the first time was when i was 14.
