Well I personally only jacked to videos, lol, but I don't think it's a sin, you should actually read the bible, it says don't commit adultery. Adultery if you don't know is when you have sex with someone else while you're married.
Is it a sin to have sex before you're married?
"Well I personally only jacked to videos, lol, but I don't think it's a sin, you should actually read the bible, it says don't commit adultery. Adultery if you don't know is when you have sex with someone else while you're married."yes, but lust is one of the seven deadly sins.. and that's what your are doing when you're beating it to porn.
Does that also rule out fantasy?
Well, if you are feeling guilty about masturbating to porn ask God about it. If He has a problem with it I am sure He will tell you. The Bible does tell us that lusting for something or someone is wrong so I guess that could apply in this situation.Personally I don't normally masturbate to porn because in my house it is hard to get without someone finding out.
Many people think the bible says that sex outside of marriage is a sin. But the bible is unclear. In Exodus, chapter 20, in the 10 commandments, we are told you should not commit adultery. Adultery is not defined as having sex outside of marriage. It is defined as having sex with a married person. Nothing is said prohibiting sexual relations between two unmarried people. In fact, in Leviticus we are given a list of every situation in which we should not have sex. We're not to have sex with married people, or with family members, or with animals. We are not prohibited from having sex with an unmarried person who is not in our family.
Acually Rojo 1 Thessalonians 4:3 says "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:" and the dictionary says that fornication is "consenting sex involving somebody unmarried: sexual intercourse between two consenting adults who are not married to each other"
So if you are going by the Bible I would say that sex before marriage is not allowed.
Nope, masturbation is a sin. I hear it all the time from a local priest, who is a friend of mine.
to dryad..Some places in the bible state that fornication is a sin. Some wrongly interpret that to mean sex outside of marriage. That is not true. The greek translation identifies fornication as being any "illicit (illegal) sexual activity". But in Leviticus, the bible does not mention sex between two unmarried people as being illicit.
is sinning really a bad thing in this case?
In reply to: Is it a sin to have sex before you're married? Pssst " Shut The Hell Up You Idiot You'll Ruin Us All! "
> Nope, masturbation is a sin. I hear it all the time from a local priest, who is a friend of mine.
Does he just say it, and you accept what he says, and that's the end of it? Or can he point to what gives him that idea? Is it the Leviticus and Onan things?
Maybe the priest is a Jew. lol, or Anglican.
Maybe your Catholic school was run by Jews. That why they taught you so much crazy stuff.
nobody has any other thoughts about masturbating to porno?
Ir's a pretty technical religious question. The people who specialize in such things are probably asleep now.

OK, I'll step up.
Matthew 5:27, "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery'; 28 but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."
That goes to the heart of Jimmy Carter's admission that he had lusted in his heart. You can get artful and say that photos of women are OK, but that seems to miss the point.
a page about how pornography is bad..http://www.porn-free.org/porn_is_bad.htmwhat's your take, Steve?
Rojo,Granted in Leviticus it says nothing about fornication. But I think the new testament is clear. Anyways it doesn't really matter to me and ppl will find excuses for doing what they want to do no matter what society or the Bible says.
I think that was quite over the top, replete with specious reasoning. Replace "pornography" with "marijuana", and it could be a 1940's drug propaganda tract. It's funny when religious people start with a premise ("Porn is sinful, and thus bad."), and then work thier way backwards to untangle God's reasoning. So Christians can't have porn and Moslems can't have pork, ahd here's why...
