Excerpt from one of the links:
_To get it to work you actually have to sign up for one of their sponsors' offers (like the Columbia House DVD club, the GM credit card, AOL for Broadband, etc.) and also get five other people to also take them up on one of their offers. _
Like I said.. nothing is for free. There's always some catch. You do have to sign up for something. Yeah you say cancel after a few days. What about those who forget to cancel or whatever? Have you ever tried to cancel service with AOL???? What about trying to recover charges to your credit card?
Please, not here.
-
i said there are 2 offers u can cancel with and not pay a penny. AOL you have to do a year offer. Same with most offers. But if you do the eFax or Napster offers you dont. You can cancel seconds after signing up...
if you dont want it here, u can delete this thread. just i dont see what is so wrong with this.

can't understand why people arn't queuing up to put in their credit card details............sigh

A big downside is that you will be on lots of mailing lists, and you will get even more junk mail (e-mail and USPS mail). For someone's free LCD screen, a bunch of other people will have to give up their privacy.I read about one guy who was silly enough to use his company's e-mail address. He started getting so much spam that he was losing messages from customers, and potential business.
-
actually, they got rid of the spam. there is no spam.i have not received any spam as of yet, and going on a week. and i disabled all of my spam blockers.
-
You did? Well then, I'm convinced!
-
You're saying that you normally don't get any spam e-mail?
-
i didnt/dont get any spam email from this. i know this cause i havent got any spam from anyplace
-
Why don't you just stop now, nobody is gonna do this and it'll just start a stupid argument that will involve everyone making pointless comments and you will be disliked by many.
-
I don't get any spam on my personal address, which is only used by friends. I use my Yahoo address for ordering stuff over the Web, etc., and I get an insane amount of spam. Thankfully, Yahoo has a pretty good spam filter. If you read the privacy policy on most e-commerce sites, you'll se that many or most of them will freely distribute or sell your info. Some ambitious person might want to look at the privacy policy of the site in question, as well as the privacy policies of all the companies they do business with.
