Long distance?

about how long would it take to get back in shape

I recently starting running/jogging again, I was a long distance runner in High School. It took me about a month to recondition myself. It really all depends on your physical and health state on how long it'll take you to get back up to pace.

How far do you usually run. I can run approx the same time as you for 2 miles (haven't really timed myself much lately, and I can't remember my exact 3000m time which would be slightly under a 2 mile time), although I often run 6-14k. When I hadn't done as much running over the winter, I couldn't run very fast for a length of time, although I could still run a reasonable distance. I'd suggest just building up to the point you were at over the course of a couple weeks. It really depends on how good of shape you think you're in at the moment for running.

i got another quick question??, say i start running everyday for half a month and run 1 mile then the other half of the month i start running 2 miles, so its liek 2weeks running 1 mile, then another 2weeks running 2 miles, by the end of the month would i be able to do the 2miles a lil better or no?
